What is the market outlook for a textile designer that works for a company? ( Either for a fashion related company, things within the home such as a company for interior decoratoring/ design, or really any company related to the production of textiles)

Well I would like to be a textile designer and I've done a lot of research on it. However it can be sometimes difficult to find information on it as textile design is not one of the first things people think of for a career. So I thought it would be beneficial for me to try this website. #interior-design #apparel-and-fashion #interior-decorator #textiles

Hi Hadassah, you would need to search for textiles companies that cater to home furnishings, etc. There may be free lance positions. If you are (or will be taking) any textiles courses, I would talk with the professor/ teacher to see if they know of any companies. As I don't know where you live, this may involve relocating. I recently found out about a company that is a division of Bed Bath and Beyond that specializing in this area. If you are interested in a particular company, try to contact 1 of there fabric designers to get some insight as to how they got their start. Good luck
