I want to know the responsibility of an IAS officer and about the administration of our country
I want to serve my country and i want to earn good money and lead a happy life in about 15 to 20 years
I want to become a IAS officer and earn good money and take good care of my parents i score good marks in science and mathematics we have got options to chose in ninth and i want to know which subject and the subject are computers home science and physica #ias #india #career

Good to see you have such a clear vision at such an age.
IAS is one of the most prestigious career in India and at the same time, it is one of the most challenging ones as well. The scope of work of an IAS officer is too large to be able to contain in an answer. Nevertheless, if you want to have a first-hand idea about what an IAS officer does, I would suggest you to go through the following video which is delivered by an IAS officer himself about his experiences in the initial years.

For the second part of your question, if I understood clearly, you need to know what options among computers, home science and physical education you should choose.
I would say, at this age, the subject that you choose should entirely depend upon your personal interest and what you love to do. You don't need to think from the UPSC (who conducts the exam for IAS, IFS, IPS, etc) point of view now. Anybody having a bachelor's degree in any field is eligible to take the exam and over the years it has been seen in the trends that the people who have completed the examination have come from the diverse fields. Just be aware of your surroundings, try to read good newspapers and when the times come, have a look at the syllabus of UPSC and decide your subjects accordingly. Even if you don't that would not hamper your way into competing for the exam and you could clear UPSC with any subject you choose.

In addition to the above points below are the major functions of IAS Officers:
1. The IAS handles affairs of government, which involves the framing and implementation of policy in consultation with the concerned Minister.
2. Implementation of policies calls for supervision and also traveling to the places where the decisions taken are being implemented.
3. Implementation entails disbursement of funds, which calls for personal supervision.
4. The officers are answerable to the Parliament and State Legislatures for any irregularities that may occur.
5. The functions and responsibilities of an IAS officer change at different points of his/her career.
6. All the beginning of their career IAS officers join the state administration at the sub-divisional level, as a sub-divisional magistrate, and look after law and order, general administration and development work in the area under their charge.
7. The post of the District Officer variously known as District Magistrate, district Collector or Deputy Commissioner is the most prestigious an identifiable post held by the members of the service.
8. At the district level, these officers are mainly concerned with district affairs, including implementation of developmental programs.
9. During the normal course of a career, the officers also serve in the State Secretariat or as Heads of Departments or in Public Sector Undertakings.
10. Officers may move from positions at the State, under deputation, to the Centre and back again.
11. At the top of the hierarchy of IAS officers at the Centre is the Cabinet Secretary followed by Secretary/Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, 12. Director, Deputy Secretary and Under Secretary. These posts are filled according to seniority.

IAS is the most prestigious government service in our country. UPSC conducts an all-india exam for the post of IAS, IFS and IRS and your cadre is decided based on the rank you score in the exam. To be eligible for the exam, the age limit is 21-32 years and you need to be a graduate.

This exam pattern has to sets, one Preliminary and Mains followed by face-to-face interview. Once you qualify Prelims then only you will be eligible to appear for mains, once you have shortlisted in mains then you will be called for interview. First thing first, you should be clear mentally that whether to earn money in the first place or to serve your country. Because these two things never go hand in hand.
Think about why do you want to serve your country.? if your ultimate goal is to serve the country then you should be selfless without any interior motives.
You can earn money through other means as well and you can earn money by serving your country as well,but the only difference is you shouldn't serve the country for monitory benefits.
