Is it better to go to a college for their offered scholarships or to go to a college that may be more prestigious?

I am caught between two colleges. Both are of equal consideration, however one has offered more aid than the other. However, this is at the cost that other college is ranked higher for my interested field. #college #scholarships

First of all congrats on receiving offers of assistance - and having both colleges want you to come, too! I guess it really depends on your financial situation and the outlook for your school years. If finances are an issue, and they usually are, I'd favor the school offering more assistance unless there's an obvious showstopper. Or, you might go back to the financial aid office at the prestigious school, tell them that you've noticed a difference, and ask if there's anything else that can be done to match on their side, too. The worst they can say is "Sorry, no!", right? In the end, though, ideally you should go to the school you really want to go to - prestigious or otherwise! So consider the overall picture, this is just one part of the decision. Hope this helps!

Hi Mandy H,
I think it very important that you take in account the benefits of the College that offer you more aid and when you say that the college that offers you aid is not that higher level ranket, you have to take in consideration that those higher ranking Colleges din´t offer you a place or an aid so what you can do;
.Go ahead and dare to apply to one of those higher ranked Colleges you would like to study at and then ask for aid if you wouldn´t be acepted at least you try your best, but if you got a place and aid so you finally got what you wanted (Congratulation for trying then. The one that seek will find says the bible)) so depending on this if wouln´t get what you wanted, then go ahead and decide to study where they offer you more aid it´s important for you to have the better amount you need for your College. I wonder which career did you select.
