[closed] Has someone used stress balls at work before in an office setting to reduce the likelihood of burnout?

Hello,

My name is Aimee and I am a senior in college attending Concordia University. I am a proud Tornado who is interested in administration and management for business. More specifically, I am learning about the different areas of management and focusing on them more. For example, there is strategic management, project management, general management, and risk management. I would like to know more about the daily closing routines of managers. I am concerned about the amounts of responsibilities and tasks that managers get compensated to handle. More specifically, what are some common ways that managers deal with the various amounts of projects? I have heard that exercise and reading are a couple of good ones. How about using stress balls at a desk? I would hate to see someone suffer from illnesses and stress because of a max of anxiety.

Thanks as always.

Hi

The first thing I would say is that not all stress is bad , some is needed to keep you interested and engaged . To keep stress levels in check I like to meditate for 15 minutes a day. I also keep active outside of work by attending HIIT classes 2 -3 times a week and spending time in my Garden, either working in it or simply taking the time to enjoy it. Having a good network of colleagues and friends in and out of work with whom you can discuss and share experiences also helps.
