Am I able to apply for a marketing job with a finance degree?

I am currently pursuing my degree , Majoring in Finance while minoring in Marketing, and is there any chance of me getting into a marketing job in the future or will I be stuck in the finance industry? I have done internship in Finance/logistic and had a great experience, but I have a passion for marketing as well (done some freelance marketing works, as well as taking courses in Coursera.org).

John’s Answer

You can do either Finance or Marketing. There are many aspects of marketing where you can leverage your finance background such as marketing analytics, marketing operations, budgets and marketing in general. You have a nice blend in different areas. Most people will see that as an asset, especially early to mid way in your career.

Go for it!
John
