Do you find that some colleges are better for Zoology or Biology majors and if so what are they?

I am a senior who is interested in going into Biology with a concentration in Zoology or a Zoology major. I would prefer a college in the Midwest but I am willing to find a college somewhere else in the United States as long as it has a good academic program. #biologist #zoologist #biology #science #college-selection

Vernon’s Answer

The University of Minnesota will serve your biology/zoology needs very well. Save your money for graduate school somewhere like U. of Kansas. Ohio University has a terrific biology department. As you progress, you will discover what and where you should attend graduate school. U of M will be just fine for undergraduate work. Good college.

Mark’s Answer

I agree with Vernon. Many high school students fret overly about which college they should go to for their undergraduate work. Most public (and many private) universities do a decent job at undergraduate education. It's when you go on to pursue further work in graduate school that you start needing to really be very choosy. And your undergraduate professors will have excellent ideas about where to steer you based on your interests.
