I'm completely convinced in becoming a nurse! I'm a senior this year (graduating high school) and I want to know what schools you went to for nursing, and where you are working now? Do you enjoy your job? What should expect in my future career/education?

Most importantly how do I end up working in kaiser permanente? Haha, I know this may seem random but I really do admire their hospitals and friendly staff! But seriously how do I end up working in a place like Kaiser? #medicine #nursing #nurse #healthcare #health #registered-nurses #nursing-education

Dear Jennifer- Congrats on your career choice! I have been a nurse in the NICU for 30 years and love it! You will need to go to college and get your BSN first- then you can apply at hospitals like Kaiser. I work at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women in Memphis, TN and we have worked closely in a quality team with nurses from Kaiser- I believe you can find many high quality facilities to work for when you graduate. As you get closer to your BSN, start researching hospitals in the areas you want to work. There is much available online now about quality measures and outcomes at the different hospitals. You will want to work for a place where quality is a driving force. Look for hospitals who have won quality awards to decide where to interview! Best of luck to you in your future
