Aside from very specific questions that give insights into job-related competencies, I will also ask candidates:
- Why are you interested in working for this company?
- What are your "superpowers" that you bring to this role, and what would you bring to this company beyond the specific job skills?
- What are your career goals for the next 3-5 years, and how would this role help you accomplish them?

When I complete an interview, I not only want to know what the person knows about the position but I also want to know about the person interviewing for the role. My top 3 questions would be:
1. what about this role do you find interesting?
2. what attribute will you bring to the job to make the team better?
3. describe a time you struggled with something and how you overcame the struggle.
