What related fields to Computer & Information Systems do you think I should consider looking into when working towards it?

like are there other fields that would help me in the long run

Actually achieving the basic certification in either Cloud provider is a good first step but Analytics is rapidly becoming the major field of study leading to many job opportunities

If you are thinking about a career in the IT field, I would recommend learning about cloud development, design, maintenance, etc. The cloud is rapidly gaining momentum, and companies have made the switch or have it on their roadmap to do so. Therefore, jobs within the cloud field will not just be for Amazon, Microsoft, and Google but for most companies in the near future that will want internal talent managing their cloud infrastructure.

When I was studying engineering in college we had to do a course in business studies every year. This covered lots of aspects of business including oranisation, culture and accounting practices. I've worked for many years in IT companies and that knowledge of businesses at the start was very useful.

It depends ultimately on what you enjoy doing. There are so many areas to learn and grow when working with computers and software.

This is more of a career outlook answer:

Database Administrator - Do you enjoy working with data and manipulating/querying data to find what you're looking for?
Cybersecurity - Do you enjoy reading about software exploitation/hacks and/or tinkering with Kali Linux?
Cloud Architect/Engineer - Do you enjoy thinking about scalability, maintainability and availability of software systems?
Software Engineer - Do you enjoy coding and working on software systems (building and maintaining web apps)?
IT - Do you enjoy helping fix people's computer issues?

Even then there are many more fields and subfields within what I mentioned above.
