Hi! For my company at least, data analytics involves reviewing reporting, identifying and tracking trends, root cause analysis, and based on the results uncovered it can lead to new initiatives and projects. I'm sure the demands can vary depending on the industry, and some of the information may be more intense or difficult to interpret, but at the end of the day it's taking all the information and breaking it down in a way that makes sense to a non-expert.

Hello there,
In my discussions with data analysts, I often emphasize a few key points:
1. Prioritize data accuracy. It's crucial to verify your data sources, understand the processes through which the data was obtained, and be aware of the relevant business procedures that support it. By doing so, you'll establish a reputation for precision which will, in turn, simplify other aspects of your role.
2. Develop an intimate understanding of your data. Familiarize yourself with the expected figures and usual trends. This deep knowledge will make it significantly easier to spot any anomalies.
3. Invest time and effort in honing your communication abilities. This will enable you to convey the insights derived from the data in a clear and credible manner. By doing this, you can provide decision-makers with all the necessary information they need to make more informed choices.
Best of luck!
