as a little girl i have always loved singing dancing and performing but 4 years ago i took a real interest into politics and law and from then till now i was going to finish school and go to law school and study law and become a lawyer ,but recently i have been really doubting my decision and deep down i know i still love singing ,dancing,and pretending like im in a film ( know this sounds silly) i really do not know what to do i would love to become an actor but im not sure if i have time now or have what it takes ,i have done dance since i was little so that is no problem but do i really have what it takes to become an actor .there is way better actors out there that can sing amazing and act way better than i ever could but what should i do i have 2 years left in school and i did not chose to study drama i chose dance and sociology so that i could become a lawyer .help please ,and also is there any place i could study both or should i pick one #college #law #acting

I’ve been wanting to be an actress since I was 3. I can also dance, I’ve loved it since I was 3. I can sort of sing. Drama is my favorite class at school. I'm a retired army veteran (since 2012 ) I'm 33 years old and I want to pursue acting as a career, I have no experience but I'll need to start somewhere. Balancing that with a family and Living in Austin, Texas it seems that the odds are stacked against me. How will colleges view my academic profile?
So I accepted the apprenticeship for the rail company. But the problem is that it's every other day. (My school is set up as an A/B day with different classes on either day. So I go to the apprenticeship one day, and go to school the other.) So I can't take all the classes I want to. It looks like a great opportunity to get my foot into the door for the engineering industry, and it pays $10/hour for my first year, $11.50/hour my second year, and $13/hour my third year. I get an associates out of it and a guaranteed job after it. It's the first apprenticeship in the state, so I'd be one of the very few (12 or so) pioneers. But I will also have to quit my job that pays $9.00, and the people there are really fun. I can't take any AP classes during school, and I'll have to take online classes after school to catch up on credits. I'm just curious how colleges and employers will view it. I'm also doing cross country. So will it look better if I do an apprenticeship (It might be fun and has good training, but I honestly probably won't complete the three years)?
