How could I start my career as a actor at 18 with no prior experience? I really want to give acting a shot but I don’t really know what to do!

I'm already doing high-school theatre, but a lot of people after my last show have told me that they think I'm ready for the next step. What should I do to be able to take that next step? Also, my parent's wont help, so when is a good time for me to begin trying?

I am going into sophomore year, I finished freshman year with a 3.8 GPA. I have been in 2 musicals so far. First one, highschools production, only freshman with a role. Second one, a lead role at a community theater, and I auditioned for a supporting role. I don't really have the money for singing lessons, but I've done choir. And I'm taking advanced acting and intro to dance at my school. Thank you! :)
