Who in a Fire Station should I contact about job-shadowing opportunities?

Hello, I'm 14 years old and will be job shadowing soon. I want to do it with EMS, specifically an medical first responder. I figured since I will likely not be able to do it with EMTs that use ambulances as I don't know how old I would have to be for a ride along, I would go for firefighters instead. I do not know how high up the list I should contact with something like this, but I was thinking administrative assistant. Any guidance before I try them? #firefighter #ems #advice #jobshadowing

Any interesting jobs involving psychology and the environment?

I am a recent graduate with my bachelors in Psychology. I am currently working at a school for a non-profit organization but I just feel like my heart isn't truly in it. I do like psychology I find it very fascinating but I have a huge passion for the environment. To be specific I am always interested in learning how our choices and actions affect the environment and what we can do to lessen our negative impacts. I'm not sure if there is anything out there that can bring my two passions together so I can work as something I would truly love. #psychology #career #environment #jobhelp #advice

I know for a fact that i want to be a graphic designer now. Can someone help me breakdown the different jobs that are under that category?

So I know that I want to be a graphic designer now, I've made a video for my school and I've made personal videos, I've taken pictures and figured out somewhat how to use a camera. I figured out how to use simple picture editing software, as well as simple video editing software and I've learned to use drawing software as well and I'm still learning new tricks every day when it comes to all of those. I like video editing and drawing on my computer the most. So I would like it if someone could break it down for me. Under the category of a graphic designer, I know that there are plenty of other jobs so if someone could break down one or two of those jobs into what it actually is, so that way I have a better understanding of it that would be great! #college #career #help #teaching #advice #graphicdesign #jobs #job

I'm a marketing major in my 3rd year - but I loved my accounting class! How do I know which to major in?

I am currently a third year student in marketing. I switched to marketing at the beginning of my third year, so the business classes were knew to me. I will be graduating late. I took accounting 1 this fall and I absolutely loved it - which is weird for me to say. I didn't know anything about accounting before this class, so I thought I was going to dread it. It ended up being really "easy" for me since I enjoyed figuring the problems out and didn't mind studying. This was my first college class that I felt this way about. It is making me want to switch my major to accounting. Although, I haven't taken any marketing classes yet. I enjoy marketing partly because I enjoy the free range of job opportunities after undergrad. I like that it is creative and has endless job opportunities that don't all involve a job in a cubicle. I was looking for advice on this decision I have. I definitely need to shadow people in accounting and in marketing, but was also looking for advice on here from anyone! #major #business #college #advisor #accounting #marketing #career #advice #majors #jobs

What advice do you have for someone like me? What steps should I take for a better future?

Hi, my name is Mary J, and I am a freshman at Florida State College at Jacksonville. I am in the process of completing my Associate's Degree before attempting a four-year degree. Being the first college student in my family and coming from a different country. I have found it difficult to complete simple things like my FASFA and asking my parents for college advice. I am at the most important part of my life, and I want to take every precaution and every opportunity that is out there for me and other kids around my age. Not being able to decide on a career has put me in a position where it feels like the future is coming too quickly. What advice do you have for someone like me? What steps should I take for a better future? #career #major #school #advice
