I was wondering if anybody in their respective careers could take the time in answering these questions as best as they can...

The reason I'm doing this is because I'm curious, I love learning about different people and their backgrounds and what their careers are like! 1.)Where do you work? (Provide a name of the company and a description) 2.) Number of years working in this career? 3.)What exactly is your career? What do you do? (Provide your position/title and a brief description of your responsibilities) 4.)What do you like most about your job? 5.)What do you like least about your job? 6.) How did you become interested in this career? 7.) What education and training are necessary for this job? 8.) What is most challenging about the job? 9.) What types of personality traits or skills are most helpful in this career? Why? 10.) What are some of the benefits and “perks” of this job? 11.) Approximately how many hours a week do you work? 12.) What is the approximate salary range for this job? 13.) Would you recommend this job? Why or why not? #computer-software #business #engineering #medicine #science #design #architecture #aerospace #financial-planning #career-details #personal-development

What Does Career Entry After Military Service Look Like?

I'm currently looking at getting a Bachelor's in Aerospace Engineer before commissioning as an Air Force officer. If I were to get out after ~4-10 years, would I find myself at any major disadvantage for when looking for a job? Or would it be better to go for a full 20 years? #military #aerospace #air-force-officer

What do you do when starting out as an engineer?

As an entry-level engineer, what would I do? How would I advance in the industry? I am particularly interested in aerospace engineer. I like the idea of picking and choosing problems to solve and designing it, but I'm not so interested in doing "grunt work".

Employers: How important is school ranking when hiring?

Hello, I am currently in high school and I want to study mechanical engineering to hopefully break into aerospace. I would like to work for JPL or Boeing in the future but I cannot afford to attend colleges out of state (where it has much better rankings) because of how expensive everything is as well as family related issues. I do have a chance to attend an in-state school but, it is a lower ranked school nationally and I am worried that it might hinder some opportunities to advance in my future career. So, I am hoping to obtain sound advice using this website as the people I have talked to haven’t been much of a help. Is college ranking a determining factor of whether of not someone can be successful in the field of engineering? Thank you.

How did you decide which sector of aerospace engineering you wanted to pursue (aero or astro)?

Aerospace engineering can be a very broad career topic, but is split into two different tracks. Thinking about my career in aerospace engineering worries me that I will have difficulty deciding on my track. #engineering #experience #aerospace #in

How exactly should I choose a career in STEM?

Being in STEM is something that I would love to do however, I am not sure exactly what career I want. I know I want to do something that can help people, possibly work with machinery, and have a really good pay. I hate working in teams and I would rather meet up with people initially to discuss plans and then do my work independently. But, engineering does do a lot of team work so I really need to learn how to be efficient with my time. I have been in multiple STEM programs but one of my favorite projects were creating prosthetic limbs and designing mechanical parts and research. So, I am interested in biomedical engineering but, I am also interested in aerospace. Growing up, I never really had much of an interest in planes but I really like learning about space and different theories or possibilities of what the world can look like billion years from now. I have other interests in career choices such as mechatronics, cyber security, and mechanical engineering. I have talked to other people of how exactly should I choose my career but they would always tell me to, ¨follow your passion¨. But here´s the thing... I don´t have a passion! How exactly can I even choose the right career for me when I don´t have passion and I just like STEM?

Does anyone know of any internship/program opportunities in STEM?

I'm currently on the hunt for some easier to get into internship/program opportunities in computer science, artificial intelligence, aerospace engineering, and neuroscience. So far, I have found opportunities, but with low acceptance rates, and I need some back up options to fall back on. The problem with this is that it's really difficult to find programs like these that are easy to get into. Can anyone help? #internship #engineering #technology #computer-science #neuroscience #aerospace # #science #engineer
