What are the pros and cons of forensic science and forensic anthropology?

Recently I've been running back and forth between forensic anthropology and forensic science. I understand the two are similar but I think that's why I'm having an issue deciding in the first place! I want to be able to compare the two to get a solid idea of what I may be working with in the future.

Is forensic anthropology the right major for me?

Hi! I've always loved forensics and once I found forensic anthropology it seemed like a good route for me. After doing some more research I realized it requires some math skills, math is not one of my strong suits so I'm doubting my choice. What is it like to actually work with anthropology? For someone who struggles with math, would this be the right choice for me? Should I pick another major? These are questions that have been running through my head.

I have an extreme love of learning about different cultures, histories, religions, beliefs, and people. The career you've chose this year seemed like the one that best fits you, but if you had a choice to pick a new career, would you change it or not?

I want to major in Anthropology, but it seems like sooner or later down my career path, I would want to become a Engineer that builds new homes or remodels homes. So it's like I'm debating on what career I would choose first. #career #college #career-choice #career-path #college-major #anthropology #engineering

What is the best way to start an anthropology career?

Anthropology has been a passion for me since about the 6th grade, as such, I have figured that this specific field could be tricky to start out in. The available jobs I can find or research usually tell me the best I can do is become a professor, a museum curator of some sort, or assistant of some sort, not my ideal circumstances. My ideal field of work would be ethnographic research within the U.S; researching primarily on Native American Tribes and other little subcultures in the U.S. Is there a recommended way to get more experience in order to do what I have in mind especially if I am fresh out of college? College internships sound preferable, but will it help me with getting a paid job after I graduate? Besides internships what is the best type or category of work that will point me in the right direction of working in the field someday? Thank you for any thoughts. #anthropology #ethnography #cultural-anthropology
