What are the different types of jobs in architecture? I think I want to become an architect but I don't know enough to make the decision.

I want to get a degree in architecture. Im not sure if architecture is the best route. I'm not sure exactly what an architect does. I like working with my hands. I like designing. I like problem solving. I was a carpenter for a year, and a mechanic before that. Im lost in the details. Drafting, designing and building all sound very appealing to me. I'm just not sure what routes and possibilities are on the path.

How hard is it to find a job in architecture after you finish studying architecture in college?

I just started high school and I'm wondering if I study architecture in college, how hard is it going to be to get a job with just a bachelors degree. I like architecture because I like the idea of people living in something that you have made. I've wanted to be an architect since jr high school. For example, how many months will it take me to find a job? If it's too hard, maybe I would choose a minor that might give me a different career I could get a job in. #architecture #architect

Is having a wildly different and innovative idea practical in the architecture world? It may seem like an easy question, but are most architectural projects designed to have a "wow factor" or are they just whatever is trending?

I am currently a senior in high school who will be majoring in architecture next year. I've always loved architecture and have wanted to be one since my kindergarten days. I want to know from an actual architect if they have the liberty to design pretty much whatever they want (within practicality of course), or if those certain codes limit the extent of creativity. #architecture #architect #interior-design #architectural-design #interior-architecture #architectural-engineering

Should I get a Mac or a PC for college if I am majoring in architecture?

This fall I will be a freshman majoring in architecture at Cal Poly SLO. My dream is to become an architect and I really want to make the most of this college experience. I am trying to decide whether I should get a Macbook of some kind of a Windows laptop. The students I have spoken with who are currently enrolled at Cal Poly have given conflicting advice. What operating system do real Architects use? Where is the best architecture software available? If you were entering into college right now to major in architecture which operating system would you want to use? Any other tips on picking a laptop for college would be appreciated. Thank you so much in advance for your advice! #architecture #architect

I want to be an architect

#architect #architecture Hi, I’m Shayla, I’m in 5th grade, and I aspire to be an architect when I grow up, but I know it’s a hard job to do well with. I’d like advice on whether that’s something I should do as an occupation. A few things about me; I have really good grades, I’m an extrovert, I love math and drawing and legos, I just started getting into architecture, and I have really good long term memory. Hope this helps.

What is the difference between Architecture and Architectural Engineering?

I'm an junior in High School and I been trying to do research to distinguish which one I want to major and study while in college, but isn't telling me the key difference. While researching I came across with some couple of websites that said Architectural Engineering is similar to Structural Engineering and that all its telling me. I also want to know which one do you prefer me to do? I do enjoy drawing, mathematics, and technology. Science isn't what I enjoy but I like it as well. Thanks #engineering #engineer #architecture #architect #architectural-design #structural-engineer

Can I get some advice?

Here's the situation: I will be taking an architectural course in college, I'm now in 12th grade but I decided to just finish this school year and I will be taking a break for the next academic year because of personal issues (I am experiencing depression and anxiety attacks. I'm healing and fighting don't worry). I will be using this time to improve on my health, skills (like practice drawing and learning new stuff), spiritual growth, and all of that sort of stuff. Maybe I'll get a job too or get into business. I need advice from other people on what I'm going through. Because I feel like I'm lost and unsure with what I plan to do. It would be nice to receive an advice/opinion/suggestion. Thanks! (To explain further, I'm taking a break from studying because I am being bullied in school by my teachers and students. Yes, including my teachers. For me, this is a very traumatic experience because I don't know why they're doing this to me. I was suicidal but I just put my trust in God and that he will save me from this situation (I also believe in karma) and so I'm keeping a positive mindset and continue making the most out of this life. #success #college #jobs #architect #school #career #business #health
