What do you need to do to be an architect? How much drawing is there and do you have to be good at it?

I'm in 8th grade and I have a passion for art, design, and creating spaces. Urban planning is the most interesting to me, but I'm not sure about the political side of it. I am a graduating senior with a high interest in design. I love the arts specifically drawing, building and even fashion design. I do not have much experience with either careers but i do plan to explore it in College. I am not sure if the two careers are completely required or which road who be best to take. I was told that both careers are hard to get in to and it is even more difficult when there aren't many opportunities within the type of city I live in. I just started high school and I'm wondering if I study architecture in college, how hard is it going to be to get a job with just a bachelors degree. I like architecture because I like the idea of people living in something that you have made. I've wanted to be an architect since jr high school. For example, how many months will it take me to find a job? If it's too hard, maybe I would choose a minor that might give me a different career I could get a job in. #architecture #architect

I want to get a degree in architecture. Im not sure if architecture is the best route. I'm not sure exactly what an architect does. I like working with my hands. I like designing. I like problem solving. I was a carpenter for a year, and a mechanic before that. Im lost in the details. Drafting, designing and building all sound very appealing to me. I am eager to learn about architecture in College and hope that I will be able to practice it some day.
