I just finished a Physics Bachelor at ETH Zürich and I am starting a professional dance program at Steps on Broadway NY. I spent the last 2 months as an intern in a Data Science company. I also studied Architecture for one year and I love painting. I would love to do something useful for our society and feel attracted to the join between Physics and Medicine, as well as Environmental Science and renewable energies. As you see, I am interested in many subjects and struggling with todays super specialised careers. I have a technic profile, but I am a social person and I cannot picture myself as a lonely experimental physicist or a programmer... Any ideas on how to combine all my passions?

I want to be an architect

#architect #architecture Hi, I’m Shayla, I’m in 5th grade, and I aspire to be an architect when I grow up, but I know it’s a hard job to do well with. I’d like advice on whether that’s something I should do as an occupation. A few things about me; I have really good grades, I’m an extrovert, I love math and drawing and legos, I just started getting into architecture, and I have really good long term memory. Hope this helps.

Should I switch from Mech E to Architectural Engineering?

I am currently a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering, but I find myself more interested in Architectural Engineering. Some people have told me that Architectural Engineering is more narrow as a field and that it's not worth switching into, but I'm not sure what to do. Should I change my major? If not, is there another way for me to get a job in Architectural Engineering? I am in Texas, by the way. #engineering #engineer #architecture #mechanical-engineering #architectural-engineering #technology #career #college #job

What careers design living/working spaces?

I am hoping to find out about careers aside from architect and interior design positions that decide the sort of indoor environment people live and work in. The main concerns I have against architecture and interior design (applying to one or both) are the -Competitiveness -Small pay -Toxic or unsupportive work environment -Limited serving of the more common classes Additionally, I hold an interest in art, craft, design, living spaces, lifestyles, people, and the world. It seems like I am skillful in art/craft/design and in maths and writing. With these factors, I would really appreciate ideas of careers I could go into, preferably for living or working spaces but not limited to just that. If I should not fear architect or interior design positions then please tell me. Thank you very much and sorry for the long post! #career #design #interior-design #architecture #
