What is the best advice you could give when searching for automotive/auto body careers? ?

I am interested in painting cars, I am a senior in high school, but I am in a trade school at the moment as well as getting my diploma while I am here. My goal is to get a job as soon as I am finished with my trade, although there is another trade available for collision repair. Would you recommend I take that trade as well?

What is some important information I should have when studying to become a Diesel Mechanic/Technician?

I am a Junior in high school and am looking for some more information on what I will need to know in order to become a Diesel Mechanic/Technician. I've grown up around farm and different types of equipment my whole life and I somewhat know my way around them. I would like to increase my skills and I prepare for college and further my education in this field of work. We as a class went to a college fair just a couple weeks back and I spoke with some reps from companies such as RDO and General Contracting. They both gave me some pamphlets with information and how their programs work. I would really like to hear from someone else and see if what they told me and what I get told on here are somewhat similar so I know how to begin. #mechanical #automotive #mechanics #technician

Is it vital to have an undergraduate degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering to pursue a graduate degree in the same fields, or is it okay to major in something like physics or applied mathematics and then switch over for grad school?

Hi! My name's Keegan and I'll be attending Tulane University in the fall. I'm interested in the automotive engineering industry and plan on completing a 3 + 2 year program where I obtain a BS in physics from Tulane in 3 years and then a BE in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins or Vanderbilt after an additional 2 years of study at either of those respective places. I'm planning on getting my Masters or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or Automotive Engineering after my undergraduate work, and intend to move to Italy, Great Britain, or Germany to work in the hyper-car or Formula 1 industry after I've finished. I'm just apprehensive about choosing the right major that'll set me on the career path that I want. #physics #mechanical-engineer #automotive #applied-mathematics

What is the best major for someone wanting to work in the automotive industry?

I am an 11th grader right now. For nearly my entire life, I've had an interest in cars. It would be a dream for me to have a career in the automotive industry. However, I'm not sure what college majors would be best suited for this career path. I know that mechanical engineering, along with other fields of engineering, are a good choice, but I want to hear more options.

What to do as an aspiring engineer with no experience or knowledge????

Hello. I am a 17-year-old in Laredo, and I hope to major in a branch of engineering in the future. Despite not having experience, would it be best to seek out internships to gain experience? If so, what are my options in Laredo or online? I've tried looking but I'm struggling with it as most jobs are looking for college undergraduates/graduates. My dad is a mechanic, so would it be a good start to work with him? If so, how should I prepare? My dad is a busy man and is less interested in taking the time to show me the ropes. What online resources would be a good start to understanding what it's like to work as a mechanic/auto diagnostics so that I can be less of a hindrance and more of a valuable asset? Thank you!
