Newbie to welding, is there any advice for someone interested in advanced training?
Hello, I am a newly sprouted seedling in welding, and I am interested in potentially working on boilers or engines. Can anyone offer advice in regards to how I could learn the techniques for this line of work? I am studying at the Northlands Job Corps Center and intend to go into the welding program. Provided I am not derailed or find another option, I also plan to do their Advanced Training. If anyone welds pieces for boilers or engines, what's the work like? Is it fulfilling and does it engage any creative centers? Thank you for your time.

Should I spend less time and money in college but graduate with a less desirable degree for my intended career?
Hi! My name's Keegan and I'm currently an undergraduate student in the honors program at Tulane University. After seeing and realizing the financial burden of my first semester here on both my family and my future self, I started thinking about changing my previous plan of a 3+2 year dual degree physics and engineering program at Tulane and then Vanderbilt or Johns Hopkins to simply triple majoring in 4 years here in mathematics, physics, and economics. Upon paring down even further, I figured out that I can graduate in 3 doing a double major in mathematics and physics, or in 2 with a mathematics major + physics minor. My cost of college would potentially halve, and I would be able to pursue a graduate degree on a shorter timescale. However, what I want to do as a career is automotive engineering, and I'm not sure what path I would be able to take from an undergraduate degree in mathematics to get to that point. Is it a better idea to spend less money and accrue less debt but have a less desirable degree for my intended career, or is it better to stick it out for a longer period of time and graduate with a more diverse range of degrees? #mechanical-engineering #graduate-school #mathematics #physics #automotive #graduate-recruitment #mathematics-education

Should I go for Automobile Design?
I have completed my Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and I currently am joining a reputed Automobile company, in India. I really wish to pursue a Masters's degree and want to go in a Design field as I like the design process. I've recently developed an interest in gaming and I'm very much swayed by the beauty of game design and that kinda confused me for going into Game Design instead. I think automobile design would be a better option and I can pursue the other as a hobby? Should I pursue an MS in Automotive Design? And if yes, what's the best uni to pursue it from? I kinda want to study in the States but anywhere in the world would do if its good enough with a promising career growth and networking opportunities.
