If I get a Bachelor's in biology, can I get a Master's and PhD in biomedical science?

I'm a high school student who wants to be a biomedical researcher, but most of the colleges that I'm looking at only offer biology and not biomedical science as a major. I'm wondering if I can jump to biomedical science in grad school, even though I didn't major in it in undergrad. #biology #research #biomedical #medical-research #biomedical-science #science-phd

I'm currently a Biology, Wildlife&Conservation Science, and Film major. Should I switch to engineering, computers, or something along those lines?

I'm currently a Biology, Wildlife&Conservation Science, and Film major. I'm mildly regretting not majoring in computer science, engineering, or something along those lines, but I'm already a junior. I'm performing poorly in my classes lately...I'm a smart person, I've just been unmotivated and bored. The Film classes are super fun, but I keep looking back and wished I had done engineering, physics, or something like that. It's something I've been second guessing since I did it, and that can't be a good sign, but I'm at a loss for what to do to figure it out. #computer-science #engineering #science #biology #mechanical-engineering #biotechnology #environmental-science #wildlife-biology

Can I major in zoology and then minor in elementary teaching? Or the other way around?

I have always had an interest in becoming a zoologist, basically since 6th grade, but I have also wanted to become a teacher for maybe first or second graders. My top choice would be zoology, but I am afraid that there won't be many jobs in my area, so I would like a backup plan. #college #teaching #college-major #biology #college-minor #guidance-counselor #zoology #elementary-education

When deciding upon the Genetic Counselor career were you more interested in the research and application of knowledge or the counseling aspect?

I am a high school senior who has researched Genetic Counseling as a potential career interest. One question that seems to never be answered is if the Genetic Counselor's were more intrigued with the research aspect of the job or with dealing with the patients. This is important for me because I am more interested in research and would like to know if being a Genetic Counselor would satisfy my need to be involved with understanding and working with the genetics. #science #biology #research #counseling #genetics #pyschology #genetic-counseling
