Veterinarian Undergraduate Majors

Hi! I am very confused on what to major in and I need some help. I want to be a veterinarian and go to vet school. But there is not a pre vet major at my college of choice, so what should I major in? Could someone please help me out and tell me all the options, regarding majors, that I could take? Thanks! #college-major #biology #veterinary #pre-vet

Research Degree

Do all research degrees (MPhil/PhD or combined tracks) require the GRE In the USA? Assuming that I do not take the GRE can I get admitted into the programmes? I am currently in a difficult financial situation, I am already considering not enrolling in universities that require me to re-do my English language exams simply because I would be spending additional money. I have been accepted into programmes in the UK, cGPA 3.2/4, British equivalence 2(i) but I was told it will mostly depend on the universities that I apply to. So far I have been accepted by UCL, Nottingham, Sheffield, Westminers, Glasgow. #career #medicine #biology #university #career-counseling #graduate-school #biotechnology #science-phd

Postgraduate options for cancer immunology

I am looking for reputable postgraduate schools in the above-mentioned programmes with no GRE requirements and lots of scholarship options/no tuition fees (similar to EU universities but the programme is taught in English). Are there similar universities in the USA or am I limited to EU? #medicine #biology #cancer #immunology

Do I have to study chemistry or biology in college to become a Forensic Scientist?

I have been debating over whether it will be easier to find work in this field if I major in a strictly science subject, or if I can major in criminal justice/criminology and still achieve the same goal. #science #biology #chemistry #forensic #college-majors #japan #criminology #criminal-investigations #crime-scene-investigator

Should I take AP Biology or Regular Physics?

Hey there! So I'm at a controversy right now because I don't know if I should take AP Biology or Physics my Junior year of highschool. So I'm taking: Honors Biology- 9th grade Honors Chemistry- 10th grade AP Biology or Physics- 11th grade AP Bioogy (if I took Physics my 11th year) or AP Chemistry- 12th grade What I've heard before is that it's better for me to take Physics 11th grade because I'm planning on going into the medical field. But, on the other hand, I want to take AP to get my college credit. Any recommendations? #college #doctor #science #biology #university #higher-education #physics

What do you do when you don't know what to do?

For the past few years, I've told family, friends, and members of the community that I am interested in medicine. I spent all of eleventh grade consuming chemistry and biology classes; I've had family members approach me and say that I simply fated to become a the cancer- and common-cold-curing doctor that envisioned me to be. I've already been accepted into a biology program at the institution I'm interested in. No matter how 'smart,' 'brilliant,' or 'doctor-like' I'm told I am, though, I can't shake the feeling that that is the wrong profession for me. All the same, I don't want to disappoint the people who've invested their time in me. If everyone says that I am going to be a great physician, how can I doubt it? If not doctoring, what is there for me? Long-winded stories aside, what might an indecisive student (with a lot of well-intended pressure behind them) do in their first months or years of college? #college #biology #undergraduate

What is it really like to be a pharmacist? Is it boring? Do you feel like you're doing something rewarding? Is it worth the money?

A lot of people have told me to go into pharmacy, but I'm worried about feeling like it's a non-rewarding job, as well as messing up someone's prescription and potentially bringing them harm. - I'm a bit of a mess in science (chemistry and biology) lab classes. #medicine #biology #chemistry #pharmacy #pharmacists
