Computer programmer or software engineer degree
Hello, I have recently discovered what I want to do with my life.,But I can't decide which one would best help me. I want to be a developer for a company like Microsoft, Apple, or IBM, working on operating systems and such, so I began looking around online and I cannot figure out which degree will better help me. I have heard that they are both practically the same position except that programmers write the code and engineers fix the mistakes programmers make or something like that. I also need insight on requirements for this type of work and what it involves. I hope someone can help me, Titus #computer-programming #software-engineering #career-details

I want to work at the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI but I have many questions.
Prepare yourself, I'm a talkative and curious kid. I'm interested in psychology, human behavior, criminology, criminal justice, and criminal profiling basically I want to get into the criminal's minds and make a profile about them and help the police catch them. But I already know that it's not as exciting as TV shows like Criminal Minds potray them to be, so don't worry. What's inside the BAU? How does it operate? Do you get to work on cases to catch a potential serial killer or stop a potentially dangerous person or it's just agents that are qualified enough? Is Quantico a heaven-like college or is it extremly difficult and not many get pass Quantico? How fit are you when you apply to Quantico? Do every agents go out and work on the field or do they to desk jobs? How many cases does the BAU have every year? Are they mostly extremely-distrubing cases? What qualifications do you have to have to apply to Quantico? Is it always exciting and dramatic or is it boring and normal to be in the BAU? Please answer my questions! Please do! #BAU #psychology #fbi #criminal-profiling #criminology #federal-agent #special-agent#law #career-details
If i want to be a lawyer, what should i major in once i get into college?
I'm considering to be a lawyer when I grow up, but I don't really know what to major in once I'm in college. I heard that you're supposed to major in political science and philosophy but I don't know what's it's about. I'm very interested in criminology and criminal justice, just criminals in general. I also think of forensic psychologist and criminal profiler when it comes to my dream jobs, I like to study human behavior too.But from my opinion, a forensic psychologist just take too much studying but not much respect and power ( I'm still a kid so, please don't get offended) and you need to be an FBI agent to be a criminal profiler, It's not that I have something wrong with being an FBI agent but you have to go through Quantico and you have to be extremely fit. And I'm gonna move to America in a few years so about American citizen can only apply to be in Quantico is taken care of but help I'm so confused. #Law #criminal-law #criminal-justice #fbi-agent #psychology #criminology #career-details

Can someone offer me insights of chemical engineering?
I'm still debating between the fields of mechanical and chemical engineering. I wasn't quite familiar with chemical engineering, but I feel like it is a very interesting field. I have a ton of questions about chemical and mechanical engineering that would really help me be more insightful of my choice: How is the rigor of the courses in college? How is the pay? How are the personalities of the people in the field (both college & career) ? Should I go up to my bachelor's degree or is master? What skills are needed to get hired in engineering?
Years ago, I earned a degree in engineering science. Then I spent the next 20 years working in retail. Now I'm looking to switch careers - and I really don't want to have to spend a fortune in schooling when I already have a BS (and a BA in history, BTW). No engineering organization will look at me with my degree as old as it is - not even for an engineering sales position (where my retail experience would be a distinct asset, I assume). So I'm considering brushing up my degree. What class or classes would give me the most bang for the buck? What skills are engineering firms really looking for in engineering? #engineering #career-details #technology

What are some relevant careers involving biology or chemistry and what should I major in to enter those careers?
I know I'm interested in a career in biology or chemistry or both, but I don't know what major I should choose to have flexibility in choosing careers in both fields. I want to enter a high-paying career that will not expire in the near future. Or maybe my uncertainty as a junior in high school doesn't matter because I can just switch majors if things don't work out as an undergraduate. #biology #chemistry #biomedical-engineering #chemical-engineering #biotechnology #biochemistry #career-details

I'm trying to plan how to become a forensic pathologist but I'm having some trouble in choosing a major. How is the work schedule like for anesthesiologists and what does their daily routine look like?
I have always wanted to be in the medical feild for as long as I could remember. For a long period of time I was really interested in becoming a surgeon but as I got older I didn't eel it was right for me and while watching tv series and talking with my mom I learned more about anesthesiologists. It seems very interesting at on tv shows its portrayed as a really laid back job at times based off of greys anatomy. On that show people were doing crossword puzzles during surgery, does this really happen? I was also wondering what major I might need to take in college? #majors #work-life-balance #anesthesiologist #working-with-children #daily-life #career-details
What are the requirements to become a psychologist for teens?
I am asking this because I see a psychologist every Wednesday, and have been for the past 4 years, for personal issues, and it helps me so much. My psychologist is someone who gives me a sense of hope and tells me reasons to be alive. Therefore, going to my psychologist for the longest made me want to major in psychology; the idea of helping someone smile when they had forgotten to smile, is happiness to me. And if i become a teen psychologist I can relate to most patients that I help. #psychology #child-psychology #counseling-psychology #career-details
