How do I figure out which career path is right for me?

I don't know of many careers that involve speaking with people often while staying on my feet, while also not being the same everyday. I also want a good paycheck to be able to pay off any student debts I might have and live comfortably.

What factor should determine whether or not you want to pursue a career path; passion for that area or finances you’d make with that career?

I’m requesting this question because I’m stuck between deciding on two different career paths: a pediatrician or an art therapist. The main thing between the two careers holding me back from choosing the other is the financial differences in them.

Should I go into the medical field or become a writer?

I've always loved writing, but I've also always loved helping people. One of my goals in life is to have a lot of free time and freedom with my money, but I know I would only get one of those by becoming a doctor. I wouldn't have a lot of free time as a medical student and I'd work long hours as a medical professional, and I'm not even that good at Biology. But on the other hand, I've always been good at writing, and I've already published a book at a young age. Which is the best option for me?

What should I consider doing my first year of college, if I am unsure of what career I want to pursue

I'm starting my freshman year of college on August 27. I am 18 years old, and attending Prairie View A&M University. Over the summer I participated in a program at Prairie View, where I earned 6 college credits before the start of the fall semester. I want to make the most out of my first year of college because I am unsure of pursuing a career in occupational therapy. I don't plan on being a medical doctor, but I am interested in careers related to science. I want to make the most of the resources I have at my college, so I can steer myself in the right direction of finding a career I know I will commit to with passion. #career-choice #career-plan

How do you prepare, mentally, for the rigorous demands of the medical field? And at what point in postsecondary schooling and training does it get the worst? When does it lighten up?

As I said in my previous question, I will be a freshman in college next fall. I've known for a while now that I want to pursue a career in the medical field. I work very hard and I am passionate towards what I do, and I have faced a lot of adversity. No one in my family has a career in medicine, so I do not have a perspective from someone who has experienced it, which is why I chose to ask this question: to gain insight on what I plan on getting myself into, and it's best to know the good and the bad. # #career #medicine #career-plan
