Hi! I'm a college and med school graduate (internationally trained), however I realized I was not very happy practicing medicine. I feel very guilty about this because healthcare is a tough profession to get into, and a platform to help people, and so I should feel very lucky to be in it. However, I'm not happy :( I have therefore gone back to school and I'm currently a grad student in an MBA program, and I wish to hear from others who have had similar experiences of leaving one career path for another. Career wise there are so many options of which to choose from, how do you know you're making the right choice with taking into consideration paying to enjoyment on what your life will be like how do you know whats best for you?
What are some careers in journalism?
I'm interested in going into journalism, but am curious as to what paths I can explore in the field other than "news reporter" or "staff writer." What potential options are there? As well, what are some other aspects of journalism other than writing that I could think of going into (i.e. the web or media side)? I've heard that journalists themselves don't make a lot of money, especially starting out, so some career suggestions that make a decent amount of money would be helpful.

How can I get job interviews consistently?
I’ve been trying to find my first job for a very long time. I already customize every resume to each job application that I submit. Even though I am looking for my first job, I do have substantial volunteer experience (5 years). I know that job searching is a numbers game, but it doesn’t make sense to me to submit 500 applications for only one to advance me to the interview stage – I’d rather focus my time and energy on crafting my application to get to the interview every time or most of the time. Is there anything I can do to increase my odds of getting a job interview and/or get feedback on why I’m not being considered?
