Can I become a cosmetic scientist by graduating with a degree in chemistry? Or do I have to graduate as a chemical engineer?

The college I go to won’t let me transfer to their college of engineering so I can’t become a chemical engineer. My only other option is to major in chemistry? I don’t know if a degree in chemistry can get me a job as a cosmetic scientist.

Can chemical engineers work in the food and agriculture industry?

I have read that most chemical engineers work in the oil and gas industry, but I don't really want to work in that industry. My dream is to work in the food and agriculture industry. I would like to create fertilizers or new formulas for food. So can chemical engineers work in this industry or is that a completely different career? #engineer #chemical-engineer #science #stem #stemcareers #engineering #agriculture #food

What types of programs should I learn if I want to be a chemical engineer?

Aloha, My name is Kyrstin D. , I'm a college student working on a Chemistry BS major, and I want to be a chemical engineer. I'm currently working as an administrative assistant at an electrical engineering company, and I was wondering if any of the programs used at my company would be good for me to get acquainted with -- for, both, giving me more insight into how it is to be a chemical engineer and allowing me to have a more stand-out portfolio when I'm applying to be a Chemical Engineering grad student. Thank you so much for providing the time to answer my question, and I hope everyone is safe and well during these times. #chemical-engineering #chemical-engineer #engineering #engineer #chemistry

Biomedical Engineering vs Chemical Engineering with Bio specialization?

I have been interested in pursuing a Biomedical Engineering major. However, people argue that biomedical engineering is the jack of all trades and master of none. This has been concerning for me as I would very much like to major in something and feel that I have mastered what I am learning without needing to go back to school for a Master's Degree. I aim to be successful in an engineering career once I have graduated my bachelor's degree. What is the difference between graduating with a Biomedical Engineering major and graduating with a Chemical Engineering major with a concentration in bio? Are potential careers different for these two? Is one better than the other? #engineering #biomedical-engineering #chemical-engineering #biotechnology #biochemistry #chemical-engineer #stemcareers #stem16

What kind of engineering career/major could I pursue if I am interested in the food industry and food chemistry as well as business?

I am a senior in high school heading to college next year. I am going to major in engineering, and although I don't have to declare until the end of my freshman year, I am leaning towards Chemical Engineering or Material Science Engineering. I have always been interested in leading a healthy lifestyle through food and nutrition, and have done several school projects relating to food chemistry and health. I am also interested in possibly pursuing business, whether through a minor or just some supplementary classes. Is there a career that can encompass all of these attributes or at least some of them? #business #engineering #career #chemistry #chemical-engineering #chemical-engineer #materials-science #materials-engineering

What would be the major differences between majoring in Chemical Engineering versus Material Science Engineering?

I am going to major in engineering and love chemistry, and although I originally planned to major in Chemical Engineering, I recently heard and learned more about Material Science Engineering. I am now equally interested in both majors, but want to know what the major differences in jobs, opportunities, benefits, and difficulties would be between the two. I don't have to declare my major until the end of my freshman year in college but I would love some insight from someone who knows the difference or has had experience in the field. Thank you! #engineering #chemistry #chemical-engineering #chemical-engineer #materials-science #materials-engineering
