Do you think it is worth doing the IB program to get into a top 20 school?
I selected my classes for next year and chose to do the IB program. I am starting to regret that choice. I would rather do partial IB. Do you think It’ll look bad if I drop out of the IB program to do partial IB? My goal is to get into a top 20 school. Also my school is an IB school so they do not offer AP classes. I am currently in 10th grade.

Should I do an apprenticeship?
Recently there's been an apprentice program for a train company. The way their program works is that I would do it every other day. Basically, I go to school one day, and the apprenticeship another day. I don't know if I should do it because then I would have to quit all of my electives (Band, NJROTC, etc). My school only has four periods in a day, so I would only be able to take core classes. I want to be an engineer, preferably in Robotics or Aerospace. The program could be beneficial, but it's not a career that I would want to stay in, but I would gain experience, in assembly, manufacturing, and electronics. Plus it pays $17/hour. What's my best option? Can I become a cosmetic scientist by graduating with a degree in chemistry? Or do I have to graduate as a chemical engineer?
The college I go to won’t let me transfer to their college of engineering so I can’t become a chemical engineer. My only other option is to major in chemistry? I don’t know if a degree in chemistry can get me a job as a cosmetic scientist.

What career path should I follow based on the following information?
I'm an 18-year-old freshly out of high school. I'm not really sure about what I should pursue in college. My interests incline towards chemistry, biology, and psychology and I feel like I want to do something in the field of biology. But the thing is, in this field whatever I'm inclining toward seems like it wouldn't really help me with any placements and job opportunities, at least till I complete my master's in the course. Also, the earning also seems pretty low, specifically in India. I did think about going in the direction of med, but the competition seems way too high, and it feels very challenging so I'm not really sure about it. I was thinking about choosing between pharmacy and biotechnology, but in both cases, the placements and the opportunities seem to be lacking in India. What should I do? What are the best ways to find someone to interview?
Hello! I’m a high school junior looking for someone to interview for my engineering class. The only requirements are that they are from an engineering or tech heavy background although personally i’m very interested in science or programming related fields so that would be preferable. I would also prefer that they live in/are from/went to School in my state-north carolina, but that’s not a requirement. I tried linked in and googling to find professionals near me but the majority of what came up was add listings. Does anyone have advice on how I can find someone in that field who would be interested in an interview?
Is it better to take high school classes that are fun, or beneficial to college and career?
I want to become an engineer (Robotics or Aerospace Engineering). Currently, I'm left with a choice of taking classes like Mandarin Chinese (which would look good on resumes, and college applications), or classes like Engineering Principles, Electronics, and Robotics. I don't really want to take a language, but it could be beneficial. I plan on serving in the military (preferably Marines as a combat engineer officer), and translators get paid more (like $300 more or something a month). Or I can take classes like CTE and STEM classes, and complete a career pathway in engineering that is apparently recognized as a credential of value. I'm just curious as to what would look better on college applications, and job resumes (Bilingual or credentials)? Also, if I were to complete the career pathway, I would have to quit band. My teacher says that he could probably get me a scholarship for band though. Is it still worth it to complete a pathway? Finally, if I were to keep band, I wouldn't be able to complete the pathway, but I would still be able to take Engineering and Robotics. What' s my best option? Thanks! #engineering #engineer #college #college #mechanical-engineering #aerospace-engineering #biomedical-engineering #career #robotics #band #high-school #schedule #career-pathway #pathway #engineering #college #engineer #high-school #airline-industry #any #fighter-pilot #navy #armed-forces #aviation #army #raptor #biology #science #career #pilot #tech #technology #marine #air-force #marines #airline #hashtag #military #math #college-major #aeronautics #computer-science #physics #mechanical #chemistry #aerospace-engineering #robotics #any #information-technology #technology #medicine
How can I ensure a successful career path in academia or industry after completing a PhD specializing in quantum physics, considering my diverse interests in languages and creative pursuits as well?
As someone who completed a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's in materials chemistry from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and worked as a product engineer for 7 years, I have a solid technical background. However, I have a persistent keen interest in physics, particularly quantum physics and its applications. I'm considering pursuing a PhD in either physics or physical chemistry to explore my passion for research science. At the same time, I am trained in materials chemistry, I speak 4 languages, and I actively pursue songwriting and writing on the side. How can I navigate this transition and what are some tips for maintaining a balance between my scientific pursuits and my other interests?
Do I have to take Chemistry first before I can take AP Chemistry in high school?
