Requirements for architecture or civil engineering?

I’m currently a sophomore in high school, and I’m trying to get a head start in terms of my career in civil or a architecture. I’ve been doing sculpting for 5 years now, but I’ve been told that drawing is also a very important skill. Will sculpting do anything for me in this field? Should I focus more on drawing and developing a portfolio?

Is the field of Civil Engineering really competitive?

I've seen that Civil Engineering is a popular field so I want to know if the field isn't too competitive to find a job. I've heard about some fields becoming over saturated with workers, so does any one predict there being too many workers, but not enough jobs in the future. #engineering #civil-engineering

Do civil engineers enjoy their job?

Is it also worth majoring in civil engineering if you want to major in engineering as it pays a lot less than the other choices? I want to do architecture based building with homes and residential properties, but some people have said civil engineering is a better pathway to get to this although I have also heard that civil engineering can tend to be very boring and people end up building a lot of boring infrastructures like bridges, roads, and hangers. What do you think?

As a future Civil Engineer, what area should civil engineers pay greater attention to, aesthetics or functionality? why?

As I prepare to transfer to the University of Texas at San Antonio and get ready to finally begin taking classes with regard to my major, I wonder if aesthetics is as important as functionality is on a project. Since Civil Engineering deals with the design and maintenance of the naturally built environment, I want clear that doubt from my head and understand which area is more substantial. #college #engineering #civil-engineering #aesthetics #functionality
