What can I do to increase the change of a full ride scholarship?

Or bigger scholarships in general. I know they're very hard to come by, but academics are a strength of mine so I figured I'd might as well see how I could continue to increase my potential of one. #college #scholarship #college-advice #college-admissions

How much emphasis do Canadian universities put on extracurriculars?

I’m a 9th grade student studying in Canada. I’ve been trying to build up a strong university application in hopes that a head start can relieve my 12th grade self of some added stress. Some resources online have said that extracurricular activities can make or break an application, but most of these resources have been referring to American schools. Do the higher acceptance rates in Canada mean that good grades and test scores can be enough to get me into most schools? Or are extracurriculars something I should prioritize alongside those two things? #university #college-admissions #extracurricular

I want to finish college but...

I tried researching for scholarships, but I can not really trust any of them. I have so many time since I was in high school, now I'm a college student and I still haven't gotten any scholarships. My weakness when it comes to applying for scholarships is the essay part. I want to find a scholarship in (IT) or any technical filed or any scholarships that will be helpful and get through school years. I really don't want to take out loans at ALL. I also found out that ALL of my classes require a special class fee, which made it worst and it increases my tution fees. I want to finish college, I'm almost there, I will be a Junior after this semester. I do not want to become a college drop out, I have been in school all my life to be considering that. I wish I was the Top 10% student so that everything will be easy. But I wasn't. #financial-aid #money #college-admissions #scholarship #college #technology #IT #InformationTechnology #finacialSupport #Housing

I just got denied admission into my first choice college in the US, could it be because of the present Coronavirus crisis? Because I have a feeling that international students may not be accepted this fall.

Do you COVID-19 will impact the result of how many students will be accepted into selective universities this year?

As a senior who has applied to a various number of schools, I was surprised to hear I was waitlisted at a school I expected to be accepted into. Other than other factors that absolutely could have affected this decision, do you think #COVID-19 will change how many students colleges across the US will accept? #college #college-admissions #college-advice #college-advice #university #student

if I miss the deadline for admissions can I still talk to the office of admissions and get accepted?

I have applied and gotten accepted to rutgers university and penn state university, although both of thee universities are a bit expensive for me, so i was wondering if I could request the office of admissions for George mason university and Virginia commonwealth university for admission even though their deadlines have passed. I live 20 minutes away from George mason and can drive to the admissions office and i am willing to drive to the VCU admissions office. #college #college-admissions #college-advice

What looks better on a College Application, Paid internship or Unpaid?

This isn't tailored to internships in terms of job prospects, rather it is a question about which path would be better suited to place on a college application. The money isn't needed, but it would definitely be helpful. However, if an unpaid internship is a way to go, I will certainly not hesitate in pursuing one next year (as I'm in grade 10 right now). #college-major #college #internship #college-admissions
