HELP! Which is better: UCONN or MCPHS?

I'm currently a high school senior amidst the college application/decision process. As of right now, my top 2 schools include University of Connecticut and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. I understand that both schools are vastly different from one another but there are attributes to each that I admire. Uconn has all the extracurriculars I've been interested in being involved in (fencing club and bollywood fusion dance team) and it is closer to home. MCPHS on the other hand is much smaller and therefor will probably cater better to each student. It's also in a more urban setting. The plan is to go to medical school after my 4 years of undergrad. Although MCPHS is geared towards the healthcare field, I've read many articles that it is ultimately not a good school. I'm just really confused on how to proceed as I want to make the right decision in ensuring my future-in-medicine path. Any advice is helpful! Thank you :)

How to handle rejection

With college decisions coming out, I'm facing a lot of back-to-back rejection from schools... it's brutal this year. I'm wondering what are some ways you've dealt with it (or deal with it, if you're also getting college rejection letters)? Obviously, I got rejected from my dream school and it feels like the end of the world. How do you reassure yourself that you'll do fine even if you don't go to the top school? What are some ways to pick yourself up?

How do you know if you have picked the right college?

I plan on being a student athlete so I am researching a long list of colleges. I am relying heavily on the internet to narrow the list . I am looking up tuition & housing costs. I am also making sure my major is offered, the average loan debt at graduation, and 4 year graduation rate. Since I also want to play sports I contact the coaches by e-mail to express my interest and see if the team has a spot for me in the upcoming year. Once I narrow down to 3 or 4 schools I will schedule visits. Due to the major impact this choice will make on my future what other factors should I consider before I make my choice? #college-decisions

who decided that asking a bunch of kids fresh out of highschool to make a potentially 30,000$ decision to go to college?

most teenagers out of high school really have no idea what they are good at and what they want to do with their lives. and yet, at least in the united states, we beat it in to them that they need to go to college and get a degree without them having enough real experience to figure out what they want to do with their lives. not to mention informing them of the economic ramifications that come with it. potentialy getting into anywhere from 10k to 100k in debt before they are 25 years old. #whosideawasthis? #college-decisions #debt
