Should I dorm with my best friend or with someone new?

My best friend and I have been best friends since elementary school. If we end up going to the same college together, should I dorm with her or try meeting someone new? I of course would still be close with her either way, so do I try to branch out or dorm with someone I already know? #college-advice #dorms

Dorm, on campus living; vs apartment, off campus living...

#campus #college-life #college-advice #residence-life #transferstudent I have orientation for transfer students coming up and will most likely be commuting for at least my first semester. The reason being, I don't want too much debt when I get out of college, and also, I would like to meet someone I am compatible with to be room mates! When I decide to be a resident student, I am wondering if I would benefit more from living on campus vs off campus, especially since I will be a Junior and not a Freshman. Are most Dorm students Freshman?

Is living on campus when you have the option to live at home a smart decision?

I want to become an independent person and feel what it's like to live away from my parents, but the university I will be attending for my Bachelor's is in the same city that I currently live in and my mom's office is down the street from campus. I know it would save me money and I don't know if I'll get enough scholarships to cover housing costs, but it seems the pro's and con's balance each other out and I don't know what to decide on. #money #scholarships #college-life #housing #on-campus
