Should I wait a year to go to uni and what major should I choose?

What major should I go into and should I wait a year to go to uni? I am 16 and graduated highschool a year and a half early and have no idea what to do next. I decided what college to go but my father thinks I should do a year at community college and then switch to uni. I also have been debating between legal studies and English as my major because I would like to be a lawyer but also travel and teach English in other countries.#Spring24

What should my major be Lawyer, pharmacist, producer.?

I pretty much have 3 options I've narrowed it down to. Lawyer, pharmacist, music producer. Lawyer because I like to argue & I'm pretty good with backing up my reasons + they make a good amount of money, but it is possible it won't work out because I can't find a good law firm to work for. Pharmacists because they make a good amount of money no matter where you work. Music producer because I love music and making music (specifically beats for rap & I love rap/hip-hop in general) & I'd love to learn more about music theory, but I'm a female and if you aren't successful, I might lose a lot of money. In the end is it up to me and my desires or should I focus on the success rate & money?

When should I decide my collage major?

I'm a freshman in HS, so I still have a good 3 years before college, but I don't really have a clue what I want to study. I have a few ideas, but they're all in different fields and for different reasons. Also considering the fact that my major will impact which schools I should apply to, should I choose my major first and then apply to schools based on that or should I apply to schools & decide my major after?

Does it really matter where you go to college?

I plan to major in piano and voice performance with a minor in psychology, and then start private music lessons. Does it matter where I go to college, or should I try to get into one that is more prestigious in the realm of music performance? I kind of want to go to a Christian college that is closer to home, but obviously they aren't really known for music performance so I'm just wondering what I should do.

I don't know what to do in college?

I am a 16-year-old Korean who dropped out of high school and took the high school graduation test. I want to start a beverage business in the future. I want to do business in the U.S. or abroad, not here in Korea. I am currently wondering which college major I should choose. Should I go to business administration or chemistry? I don't know if I should go to college or go to art school because I'm interested in graphic design. I would appreciate it if you could give me great advice. Also, what should a Korean do to start a business in the U.S. or other foreign countries? I want to study in the U.S., but my family is an ordinary middle-class family. American tuition is too expensive

What careers could I be headed towards?

Hey! My name is Abbey and I’m a first-year student at the University of St.Thomas in St.Paul Minnesota. Throughout my whole life, I've had an interest in sports, health, and the human body. Because of this, I decided to major in Exercise Science and double minor in Nutrition and Business Administration. I was looking at becoming an athletic trainer but decided against it a few months ago. I am really just looking for someone who has some knowledge in these areas, and could tell me a little bit of what I could go into when I'm older that includes my major and minors! And any other insights that I could find helpful in the future!

No passion for what I'm studying and just want to graduate?

I am currently a sophomore at Virginia Tech and have been on the neuroscience track for the past 2 years and was set on pre-med. I've taken the intro science courses and have been struggling with motivation and passion for the subjects. I had to resign this semester due to overloading my schedule which I know will impact how future employers look at me. I have never branched out in other fields like tech and really don't want to continue because I am not sure I can do well enough to graduate. At this point I am just looking for a major that will allow me to graduate in two years and the only one is Public Health, but again I do not have a passion for anything and no strong skills in different subjects. I really do not know what to do.

What are some ways/tips or what general direction should I take in order to pursue a film career?

I'm currently a sophmore in highschool and I've been interested in taking film as my major in college. Firstly is it worth it to pursue this path or this particular major (as college is quite expensive) and also what are some ways to find employment after college? Also for some more context I already have a fairly entry level grasp on film basics via my school production studio (EX: Camera, Mic use, editing, filming, and some studio work/directing).

What would be a good plan for someone wanting to become an acoustic/noise control engineer?

I was planning on getting two degrees: one in math and the second in physics. Then I want to get a masters and doctorate in acoustics from Penn State. I then started researching the Institue of Noise Control Engineering. Would it be a good idea to apply for membership to INCE after graduate school? Should I do it earlier? Should I wait? Should I do it at all? Then I want to complete all three INCE courses in noise control engineering. Is board certification worth it?

Are there any careers that would allow me to pursue nuclear engineering AND musical theater ?

My current goal is to double major in those two subjects at University of Michigan (hopefully with a scholarship, as it's out of state and EXPENSIVE), but from what I've found, it's practically impossible to find a way to do them both "in the real world" I don't want to look back and regret not doing theater, but I know it's not the most practical career. I'm not the best at nuclear science or engineering, but I have time to improve my skills. Is there anything out there for me (that pays well, LOL)?
