I am extremely interested in Criminal Justice and Sociology, but I don't know if I should double major, or if I should get a master's in one area. What's the most logical and cost effective thing to do?

I have a real passion for sociology and criminal justice. I'm not too sure what I want to do career-wise , but I do know that I want to be involved in helping people (especially children) of racial minorities break free from systemic racism. I am extremely passionate about social change and want to work to help fix a justice system that targets and fails socioeconomic minorities. That being said, I have narrowed down the two majors that can help me achieve these goals to sociology and criminal justice. However, I'm not sure what level of degree to pursue. I have been advised to pursue a master's in either subject, but I'm not sure which major is better for my interests. I have also considered double-majoring, but from what I've read I'm not too sure that double majoring is worth it. Any advice on what degree/major I should pursue? Is double majoring really not worth it? If I do double major, will it carry the same value as a master's degree in either area? If I have to choose, how can I know which major is right for me? #criminal-justice #college #sociology #college-major

I’d like to become involved in economics and poli sci and really stand out as a high school student. Are there any recommendations for research or extracurriculars I can start. I have seen people publish books and start organizations and I don’t really have any ideas so far. I am really interested in creating representation for minorities and females in these fields. #college #college-major #political-science #politics #high-school #economics #international #international-relations

One of my top career choices is medical school. However, I know how difficult this career-path is. I want to choose a college major that will both prepare me for medical school and allow for me to get a job immediately after college if I choose not to go to medical school.

I'm in high school hoping to go into either a health or law profession after college. I am currently undecided about which university I want to go to and what my major will be. #college #college-major

I am going into my third year of EE, and my only two major ee classes so far have been circuits and logic design and my curriculum is very broad. What jobs can I do outside and helping people?

Hello, I’m Naomi! I’m starting college next fall and am not completely sure about my future. I love being outdoors and helping people, but can’t take a lot of stress. I’m good at science and love drawing. I’ve worked in a program through my school with children outdoors at an park and while I don’t like children that much, I enjoyed working outdoors and running errands for the program. #college #career #outdoors #college-major #parks

What careers should I look into?

For years I have been trying to figure out what career/field I should go into. I have been looking into healthcare, but I decided to consider other fields to make sure that's what I want to do. I am interested in math, science, technology, art, agriculture, and photography. I am also a people person and I want my future job to have a great work-life balance, a good salary, and I don't want to be in college for any longer than six years . I can't seem to find the right job that meets all of my criteria. Please advise. #college-major #career #college #job #career-counseling #major #math #science #agriculture #photography #art #technology

How can I determine the best major and career path for me that will be beneficial in my future and my family?

Hello! I'm not sure how much information you'd like, so I'll start with some basics. I go to a Christian school as a 10th grader and play travel and school softball as my sport. I love to learn about how to stay healthy and improve the health of mine and others. I am disciplined, independent, hard-working, and smart with a GPA of 4.2 out of 4.5 last marking period. I am struggling to pinpoint what I would love to do as a career and want to pursue my passion without the frustration of "working a day in my life". Thank you for your time reading this and I look forward to receiving your advice! If any questions, please ask! #college #career #college-major #nutrition #nutritonalscience

Online versus In-Person?

Sometimes classes I need have the option of being online with testing done in person at the college. I've taken two last summer and did well. I'm considering a few more over the summer but this time they would be math (basic college algebra) and maybe a history class. Are there any classes you would absolutely avoid taking online because the material is tough? #college #college-major #teacher #math
