I have a BS Degree in health care administration. Always considered being a pharmacist, however, after working in a pharmacy - I decided it was not for me. I want to advance in my education and get a Master's Degree, but do not know what to major in. I feel like I am wasting my time. I thought about dentistry, physician assistant, or even going to get my MBA. I am leaning more towards my MBA, #college #health #healthcare #college-major but I do not know how to incorporate science into it.

What is the process of choosing a major?
I'm not referring to the thought process or experimentation. I'm asking what you have to do in order to declare a major. Is there an administrator who you typically speak to and declare? Can you declare mid-year? If you go in undecided, how long before you have to declare or switch? Is it the same process for major/minors? Thanks! #college-major #major #college #undecided

Is taking 17 credits per semester worth it?
I want to finish my 4-year bachelor's degree in 2 years. I want to get enough ap credits. Right now I want to do something related to business. Is it okay if I take 8 credits the second term of the summer semester before my Freshman year of college? I am talking about the 6-week term. Is it normal for a student to take 7 credits per summer term? It gives a total of 14 credits for the entire summer semester after my freshman year. Do students take 17 credits as an incoming freshman for the fall or is it too much to handle? I want to take gen ed classes over the summer including some electives. I do not want to double major and i will not work at all. my parents are paying. #college #college-major #college-admissions #college-advice #finance #college-major #apclasses #graduation

Guidance on coffee shop ownership?
I've dreamed of opening a coffee shop for quite some time now, but I'm unsure of what my first steps should be. I've helped open coffee shops as a manager and have worked in different coffee shops for four years now. I know I have a lot to learn, but have felt I shoudn't go to college for a degree yet until I know it will for sure benefit me. What college degree would I go for? Would a business degree be beneficial? Or would it be a waste of money? Barista question: should I get my barista certification or is it a waste of money? How can I best achieve the knowledge needed to open a coffee shop? #business #college #entrepreneur #college-major #career

Biotechnology vs Biomedicine vs Bioinformatics
Hello everyone, i'am a non-traditional student and i'am transferring to a for year with an ultimate goal of applying to Medical school. However, I'am having a difficult time choosing a transfer major, at my home institution I've already completed a large majority of science courses from Mircobio to Physics. Since I've completed these courses, its only befitting for me to choose a major that will uptake my current credits. The majors of interest are biotechnology, biomedicine and bioinformatics. Now, although I've researched the hell out of these majors, i still don't know what a typical work day would look like for either profession or if it is a profitable and complementary pathway to my ultimate goals. Someone please help, if you are in any of these fields. Thank you in advance #college-major #biotechnology #bioinformatics #biomedicine #Premed #Medicalschool #college-major

How will colleges view my academic profile?
So I accepted the apprenticeship for the rail company. But the problem is that it's every other day. (My school is set up as an A/B day with different classes on either day. So I go to the apprenticeship one day, and go to school the other.) So I can't take all the classes I want to. It looks like a great opportunity to get my foot into the door for the engineering industry, and it pays $10/hour for my first year, $11.50/hour my second year, and $13/hour my third year. I get an associates out of it and a guaranteed job after it. It's the first apprenticeship in the state, so I'd be one of the very few (12 or so) pioneers. But I will also have to quit my job that pays $9.00, and the people there are really fun. I can't take any AP classes during school, and I'll have to take online classes after school to catch up on credits. I'm just curious how colleges and employers will view it. I'm also doing cross country. So will it look better if I do an apprenticeship (It might be fun and has good training, but I honestly probably won't complete the three years)? Or, will a strong academic record with athletics and an after school job look better? #college #engineering #career #computer-science #medicine #science #technology #engineer #tech #college-major #education #biology #any #math #acting #mechanical-engineering #mechanical #english #aviation #military #chemistry #robotics #physics #airline-industry #biomedical-engineering #information-technology #writing #high-school #aerospace-engineering #pilot #aeronautics #ap #navy #author #marine #army #band #community-management #air-force #schedule #marines #armed-forces #hashtag #pathway #airline #career-pathway #fighter-pilot #raptor #civil-air-patrol #first-responder #business #fun #apprentice

I dont like my major but my parents refuse to let me change it.
so, I'm inthe middle of my first year at medical school. Last semester i realized that maybe this isnt the path for me. I'm really bad at some of the subjects and I ended up failing one of my major classes. I started to look for another career alternatives . One of them was foreign languages or international relations (I love learning new languages and the thought of working as an embassador or smth like that really resonates with me) so, I told my mom (she is paying most of my college fees) and told me that i was confused and that no other degree would get me the job oppotunities that a medical degree gives, but i dont feel the same passion all my friends feel towards medicine and i feel lost right now, i really dont know what to do. #medicine #major #h #college-major

Chinese vs German
I'm trying to decide what language I want to take for high school. As I've talked about before, I've been thinking about taking a train apprenticeship. The rail company is based in Switzerland, and a lot of their instructions are in German. So if I take German, it would help me get my foot in the door, and it might get me higher pay. But, I do plan on joining the military, and (Mandarin) Chinese is a mission-critical language, and more valuable. But both languages might get me an extra $300 or so more in pay a month. #military #college #business #finance #college-major #entrepreneur #train #rail #money-management #high-school #language #money-management #chinese #german #language #high-school #college #career
