What classes do I actually need to take for my major?

I recently decided to major in psychology after a long while of not having any idea what I wanted to do. Psychology really interested me in high school and I would love to go into neuroscience. However, I'm confused about what classes I actually need to take to do that! I've got intro to psychology on my schedule right now, but it would be so nice to know how I could get ahead of the game and jump into my major. #majors #college-majors #psychology

What colleges offer anti-human trafficking courses or I guess degrees?

I'm a high school student currently and already know I want to put my life on the line in different developing countries and stop human trafficking. I want to go to college and be able to directly progress in this field but have no idea what colleges offer the best programs for prepping to be in this field one day. They all always make it sound like they are well-rounded in every field but I want to know colleges who have well-developed, strong classes pertaining to human trafficking. Any information anyone can give me would make me very appreciative #human-trafficking #college #college-majors #foreign-countries #foreign-languages #foreign #save-children #college-courses

What is a good major/career path for a current DACA student?

I am currently going into my Junior year of College. I have already received an associates of science degree, and I am pursuing a bachelor's degree. With the uncertainty that has arisen with regards to the future of DACA students, I have put a lot of emphasis on trying to choose the "correct major". In my situation, the right major would be a degree that would allow me to get into a career with a lot of possibilities (being well paid would be good too) because demand might be high for such jobs to the point where employers would keep an open mind to hiring employees from different backgrounds such as my own. I have looked into a lot of degrees and I am currently deciding between Accounting, Computer Science, IT Systems or Supply Chain Management. Any kind of input would be great! Thank You! #daca #college-majors #career-counseling #career #bachelorsdegree #computer-software #computer-science #accounting

I love media and performing arts type of jobs, but they're not considered a "career", what should I major in that would classify as a career, but also include my favortie things?

I've always loved being around cameras, and messing around, but when it comes to finding a "career" that fits the criteria of acting, you're only making money if you make it big. What major should i do that could lead down that path of acting or performing that would also help me find other jobs if I'm not successful. #college-major #college-advice #college-majors #help

What of my interests would be worth making minors/majors on my planned degree in environmental engineering?

I plan to get a degree in environmental engineering, but I also love biology, chemistry, biochemistry, and non-science-related Spanish. Would it be too difficult, expensive, or otherwise to add any of those as a second major and/or have the remaining be minors? Especially in the case of Spanish, because I would like to continue studying Spanish but is unrelated to the rest of the topics I am interested in. What would, if anything, stop me from pursuing to some degree, all of these subjects? #degree #degrees #career-path #career-path-planning #biology #chemistry #biochemistry #major #college-major #college-majors #majors-and-minors #minors

Would you take different college courses if you were to work with exotic animals rather than pets?

Working with animals than you are more likely to see in zoos seems to be more challenging and an experience worth having. I know that not all animals have the same anatomy set up and I'm curious as to if you learn all the anatomy in verterinary school or just the common anatomy's such as the following; dog, cat, birds. #veterinarian #animals #exoticanimals #college-majors

Do you have to already have computer knowledge to major in computer science?

I don’t know very much about computers and technology, but I’m willing to learn. Technology is such a pivotal part of our society today and careers in that area are probably going to be in demand. I’m genuinely interested in this field, but am just lacking any prior knowledge/experience. Would it be worth the risk to major in something where you’d be starting from scratch? #computerscience #technology #college-majors

As a liberal arts student, what should my second major be?

Hello everyone! I am a college student halfway through my second year at a liberal arts college. Soon, I will be completing my first major, which is Global Studies: Worlds in Dialogue (a mixture of political science, philosophy, sociology, history, and english). Although I could graduate early, I would prefer to complete an additional major instead; I enjoy school and would like to receive the full benefits of a four year post-secondary education. The problem is that I am uncertain about what type of career I would like to pursue after college and fear that I will later regret making the wrong decision (major-wise) while I am attending school. Currently, I am considering sociology, philosophy, and business, but I am open minded to other possibilities as well. What advice would you give me in terms of which additional major (and/or minors) I should pursue and how I should go about making this decision? Thanks! #college #college-major #college-majors #liberal-arts #liberal-arts-major #career-development

What should I major in for Pre-Med

I want to be a doctor, but I am getting mixed answers to what I should major in. First I heard Biology, but then I heard that this is too generic and I should major in a humanity. If I majored in a humanity what would look best to medical schools? I am interested in Philosophy, but am worried that medical schools will not like that or if I later decide I do not want to be a doctor, I will not be able to get a job. #medicine #college-majors
