I am a senior who is interested in going into Biology with a concentration in Zoology or a Zoology major. What are my chances of getting into an ivy league school?

I'm a junior in high school. I have a pretty decent GPA and I have all A's. I've done a tone of program like internships abroad at hospitals and labs and I'm currently doing a leadership program with Princeton and a mentor-ship program with a pharmaceutical company called Novartis. I'm in 5 clubs and I hold leadership positions in 3 and will be holding leadership in all 5 next year. I currently take 3 AP classes and I probably will take 5 next year. I still haven't taken my SATs but my PSAT score was a 1440. I want to major in bioengineering or biomedical engineering. So does anyone know my chances? #college #college-admissions #college-selection #ivy-league

How do I know what college to attend?

Hi, more recently I have been looking into college more and I am wondering simply what to look for. I know that looking for a college can be stressful, and I am wondering if there are any minor details that you, or others you know, may have overlooked when choosing the right college. So, I'm wondering what you would recommend are some things I ask when on tours of colleges or things to research before attending a college that is often missed but may be helpful. #college #college-advice #college-selection #college-bound

Which college should I go to?

I am deciding between Harding University and the University of Alabama. Harding is smaller and farther away, but it simply feels like home and I know a lot of people there that would make my college experience more fun and comfortable. My best friend and brother go there as well. However, there is nothing to do, which bothers me. There is also a strict dress code and curfew. The University of Alabama is much bigger but closer to home. Both of my parents attended UA. I would know very few people there, but there is a lot to do. But, the main thing to do there seems to be just partying and drinking, which I have no interest in. I know Harding will help me grow spiritually and I will have a more personal relationship with my professors, which will help with recommendation letters for grad school. But at Bama, I would have the opportunity to possibly make more meaningful connections with better-known names. Plus, football! What should I do? #college #college-selection #college-advice #college-bound

I am considering my colleges for the future and there is a few places that I have in mind but I am not sure that I will make the right choice. I have an opportunity to go to college here in louisiana and have some of my tuition paid off. My mom believes I should go here but I dont know. I want to go to a college in hawaii because that is where my girlfriend is going to go. I really want to be with her but I also don't really want to be in debt for the rest of my life. ( I want to become a nurse) Should I just settle down here in Louisiana or take a chance and go to Hawaii with my girlfriend?

As a non-religious person, should I exclude religiously affiliated colleges and universities from my college search?

Just a quick disclaimer: I do not mean to offend anyone in this post!! I respect your freedom of religion!! So, I do not follow any organized religion. I do not believe in a God or creationism, and I am not spiritual. I guess I can be categorized as a "nihilist." With that being said, I personally find myself uncomfortable when people talk about religion, or try to convince me to follow their religion. For religiously affiliated colleges, is this something that I should worry about. I know of some amazing colleges with amazing programs that I am interested in, but I am wary of the fact that the college is religiously affiliated. Any thoughts? #college #college-advice #college-bound #college-selection #religion

Is having student debt worth it?

I'm asking because I am wondering if someone decided to go to a more expensive school rather than a cheaper school with the same amenities- basically everything is the same, except the name of the school. I am currently trying to decide whether being in debt from school is worth it because I fell in love with an expensive school but would have to take out a huge loan in order to attend.
