Is biology the right choice?
I am currently in community college to complete my prerequisites for a biology major. I want to transfer to UC Davis or Cal Poly Pomona because I want to become a veterinary technician and then later on advance into a veterinarian. However, I am finding chemistry to be a really difficult prerequisite to get over. I know that it'll get harder as I go on, but I'm already finding myself with no motivation and I just want to know, is biology the proper field for me if I want to be a veterinary technician? Over the summer, I spent time with a French family in a foreign exchange program. I will be attending John Tyler Community College this fall, and I am planning to transfer (sooner rather than later) to VCU after I finish my prerequisites. I will be majoring in general science with the intended career path of pre-medicine; therefore, I will have a wider variety of job options.
