How much opportunity is there for a STEM major in the entertainment industry?

My question regards the potential to find employment in the industry of entertainment (film and television) for a student majoring in a STEM field. I ask it because I have always had an interest in both of these areas, but they seem to be on opposite poles of the career spectrum. Particularly, I have an interest in computer science and software engineering on the STEM side, and something in production (VFX, SFX, writing, set prod., editing, etc.) on the side of entertainment. Is there any way I can combine the two? #college #computer-science #computer-software #film #software-engineering #stem #entertainment #vfx

What is the HRIS software program?

I am asking because I'm currently in school for an associate's degree in Human Resources. I have not come across this software program at all during my schooling. I'm wondering what it is, the functions of the software program, and are there any classes to take in order to use the program? I've noticed that on most job applications knowing how to use this software program is a requirement. Among other human resource software programs. #computer-software #human-resources #compensation #payroll #talent-acquisition #talent-management

Hi everyone, I want to invest my winter break into learning a new skill. What softwares do market research analysts use? I know they would use some VBAs and will vary depending on the firm and market they are in, but what would you recommend me to learn over the next three weeks? What online resources could I use? What kind of university classes to take to prepare myself becoming a market research analyst? I'm currently working on SQL languages as a start, but want to ask for some advice. What education should I acquire if I want to work in an office setting as an IT/Computer Repair Technician?

So far I am working towards my office administration certificate as well as my computer technician certificate. From there I was wondering what my next step should be, I was considering getting an accelerated college degree once I was out of trade school but I know there's online certificates as well so I was sort of just weighing my options and would like a second opinion.
