What opportunities are available for women with Criminal Justice degrees?

Law Enforcement has many components - Police, Lawyer, etc. What particular opportunities are available for women with Criminal Justice degrees? Particularly African-American women. I've read that "the complexity and size of the criminal justice system means an array of opportunities". However, exploring those opportunities and more importantly, securing positioning there is not as easy to identify. #criminal-justice #career-development

As a criminal profiler, do you get fulfillment and joy from your job?

I am interested in pursuing a career in criminal profiling, however I know the burnout rates in a job such as this could be high. I have spent a lot of time researching this profession, but I wasn't able to find many answers about the emotional aspect of it. And the little exposure I have had through the media does not go into detail regarding the emotional impact of this profession. I want to know if this job is worth pursuing or is the emotional toll attached to it too great? #criminalprofiling #burnout #criminal-justice #criminology #law-enforcement

Can I become a paralegal with a criminal justice degree? Is a paralegal a stressful job? Can I work independently or is it best to land a position with an attorney?

Becoming a paralegal is something that I have thought deeply about and considered on more than one occasion. As I near the end of my schooling, I am wondering if this position is a as stressful as being a legal secretary (a position I previously held and despised! ) and if I will need to obtain more education before pursuing this career path. #legal #paralegal #criminal-justice

How to decide between choosing a major you’re interested in, and one that may be better for finding a job you’ll enjoy?

I was recently admitted to Northeastern University with the combined major of Criminal Justice & Psychology which I think would be super interesting, except for the fact that I don’t want to be a lawyer or work in law enforcement. I’m at a crossroads now deciding if I want to continue my plan with criminal justice & psychology or change majors to lead to a job I would enjoy more. #college-major #choosing #college #academic-advising #criminal-justice #psychology

How do you gain enough money in scholarhips to go to any college or University of your choosing with billions of people competing for that same money with the same drive and necessity as you?

College is pitched as a necessity but priced as a privilege. With great grades, an incredible amount of determination, and as much prayer you can fathom, many students still don't get to experience college because hey simply cant afford it. Loans, and grants must first be approved and even when they are, the interest rates are out to get us. I want to know how to win this scholarships. How can I be one the few to experience what adults have made me dream of and feel I cannot thrive without, college. How can one person, out of a billion, apply of a scholarship, and afford even a fraction of the cost of a good education. #scholarships #scholarship #money #criminal-justice
