How do I break into a new industry?

I've been working for 20 years since I graduated from college -- 17 years at a nonprofit research institute and then the last 3 years at a large U.S. bank. My focus has been on identifying, selling/pitching, evaluating and experimenting with innovative ideas in a brought range of areas -- new research approaches, novel data science (eg, AI/ML) use cases, ways to use emerging tech to make core lines of business faster/cheaper/better, and new products & services. I left both of the last organizations when my leadership changed and there was no longer an interest in investing in more exploratory innovation (horizon 2 or 3). I see lots of companies that are investing in this type of innovation, but not many in the industries in which I have experience. How can I get the attention of recruiters and higher managers and convince them that my skillset is very transferable?

What Are Effective Strategies for Self-Discipline?

I'm a college junior, studying cybersecurity; with an emphasis on network security. My dream job is to become a network security professional for Cisco and manage Cisco devices; this is the roadmap and the career goal I have set for myself. However, the more I reflect on my current situation, I find myself having a hard time being present and procrastinating over what needs to be done. For example, my biggest goal of the year is to earn the CCNA certification; a highly respected and recognized accolade in the networking industry, earned by many network administrators, who want to work for Cisco. It's a certification I've been interested in for some time now, but I'm finding myself lacking the motivation and get self-doubt in my ability to study; I find myself getting more distracted with less intimidating goals like Hats & Ladders or making this post. What are some effective ways, backed by science to discipline my mind and achieve these accolades?

What is Ethical hacking?

Ethical hacking, also known as white-hat hacking, is a cybersecurity practice that involves using the same methods and techniques as malicious hackers to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses in a computer system or network. Ethical hackers are professionals who are authorized to perform hacking activities with the purpose of identifying security flaws, which they then report to the organization or business owner, helping to improve their security posture. In this article, we will discuss the important benefits of ethical hacking. Identifying Vulnerabilities: The primary benefit of ethical hacking is that it helps identify vulnerabilities in the computer systems and networks that could be exploited by malicious hackers. By conducting a comprehensive security assessment, ethical hackers can help organizations to identify potential weaknesses and take steps to address them before a hacker can exploit them. Improving Security: Ethical hacking can help organizations to improve their security posture by identifying vulnerabilities and recommending appropriate security measures. This helps organizations to implement appropriate security controls, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption, to protect their data and systems. Cost-Effective: It is much more cost-effective for organizations to identify and fix security vulnerabilities before they are exploited by malicious hackers. The ethical Hacking course in Pune allows organizations to identify vulnerabilities early, which can save them the high costs associated with data breaches, theft of intellectual property, and other cyberattacks. Compliance: Many organizations are required to comply with various industry standards and government regulations related to cybersecurity. Reputation: Data breaches and cyberattacks can severely damage an organization’s reputation. Ethical hacking can help organizations to avoid such incidents by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate security measures. This can help build trust with customers and stakeholders, which is crucial for the long-term success of any organization. Proactive Security: Ethical Hacking Classes in Punef provides a proactive approach to security, which is essential in today’s constantly evolving threat landscape. By identifying vulnerabilities before they are exploited, organizations can stay ahead of potential threats and protect their data and systems from cyberattacks. Competitive Advantage: In today’s highly competitive business environment, organizations that take cybersecurity seriously and can demonstrate their commitment to security can gain a significant competitive advantage. Ethical hacking can help organizations to improve their security posture, which can set them apart from their competitors.

What is the best associates degree to get before getting a bachelor's degree in cybersecurity?

Both my younger brother and sister want to earn their associate's degree in cybersecurity, However, I'm concerned that they will be unable to find jobs after graduating with only their associate's degree. I've researched cybersecurity jobs, and discovered that most, if not all require at least a bachelor's degree. They want to work before getting their bachelor's degree so that they can have experience and see if they like the tech industry. Are there other associate's degrees that would have more job opportunities? Also, which computer/IT associate's degree be most compatible with a bachelor's in cybersecurity (i.e. the most credits would transfer/give them a basic foundation of computer knowledge)? Thanks in advance!!!
