Is it possible to become a doctor and still be home with your family?
My dream is to become an important doctor. I'm just worried that i'd be workong too much that i wouldn't be able to see my husband and kids much. I just don't want to be that type of parent that's always working and never has time for their kids. #doctor #medical-field #medicine #doctors

New student, Medical Assistant! What is the BEST path to take to be a midwife?
I'm 32yrs old and a mother of 2 boys! I've wanted to help deliver babies since I can remember. I have witnessed two babies to friends and one to my sister be born. It was AMAZING!!! I've been out of Hight School for 16yrs now. So I feel very lost when it comes to the best choices regarding school. I have many friends that are nurses but not in the same path. Asking them for advise really only confused me more. I don't want to make the wrong choices when it comes to school and what classes to take. What is my best path, with the goal of being a midwife or labor and delivery nurse? #doctors #nurse-midwife #midwifery
Switching professions?
Hi, my dream as a child was to become a famous singer, and I'm also very known to have a beautiful voice etc. but my father was telling me that it wouldn't be a stable career as a start off and I should choose a career that would, like a doctor. And after I finish med school, I can go off and start my singing career knowing that I'm still licensed from being a doctor, and also making money from it while I'm a singer. But question is, I don't know how that would turn out. Should I (1) during med school, I sing in local gigs WHILEim studying in med school? Or (2) after I graduate med school I start the singing career? Even though I might be a little old for that. So I really don't know. PLZZ HELP. #and #doctors #musicians

Are there any programs or internships that would increase my chances of getting into Medical School and help get more hands-on experience in the Nashville area?
I am going to study biology on a pre-med track at Vanderbilt next fall, and I want to do whatever I can to become the best doctor possible. I would love to find some sort of program to put me ahead of the game. #medicine #healthcare #pre-med #educators #doctors #medicine #hospital #hospital-and-health-care
