How to go about getting student loans

I wasn't able to fit into any economics classes in high school and am now freaking out about what sources to use for receiving student loans. I know that I am going to need something as my current scholarships aren't fully covering my education and I currently have no money to pay and my parents are not supporting me financially. I don't know which loans would be best suited to avoid debt later on, I don't know what rates are best, I don't know if I should trust variable rates, and I'm honestly just so clueless, so a quick run-down about how to approach this would be wonderful. #finance #economics #scholarships #student-loans #loans

Is a business major necessary or recommended for someone who wants to go into business?

I'm interested in eventually going into Business (as in running my own business). I currently have an online numismatics business, but hope to go through college and ramp up my business all the while. Some people have told me that while studying business as an undergraduate, one will learn just things that can be learned in 6 months on the job, so it is more worthwhile to study history or economics for example. Others have told me that business undergraduate degrees are very valuable. To be specifc, I'm enrolled to attend Notre Dame and am wondering whether to continue in the business school, or leave the business school to study economics. Notre Dame does have the best undergraduate business school in the U.S., but the counterargument is that there aren't many undergraduate business schools in the country. #college #business #professor #finance #economics

I don't know what the world of finance has turned into today, but I've learned it's a very cut-throat community. There's a lot of opportunities, but it seems like connections are everything. What are the chances I'll find someone willing to help me out and give me the resources to grow my skills? Thanks #business #economics #real-estate #hedge-funds

I want to pursue a career in the following areas of interest: finance, real estate, investing, commercial business, travel. Is work experience more valuable than a degree?

Although it depends solely on the type of job at hand, I have heard talk of how getting a degree just seems to be extra debt that doesn't actually benefit your ability to climb the corporate ladder, or any ladder with more money at the top. #business #engineering #law #economics #carpentry #contractors

What is the worth of a bachelor's degree today?

Students today are looking at the costs of education as if they're picking out luxury cars. Given that, how much do people (more specifically, hiring managers) put into consideration not only the school in which they received their degree (Harvard vs. Arizona State) but as well the type (B.S. vs B.A)? I would also like to expand on the topic by asking the different types of perks that come with a bachelor's degree (social status, economic stand, etc. etc.)? What is the value of education today? How important is it? What is the most important thing to tell current high schoolers about education in your view? #college #business #professor #education #university #money #school #economics

Should I take a finance-related course?

I'm not planning on going into any finance-related program, but there are definitely some finance-related things I'd like to learn about to prepare for my future such as the following: how to do taxes, understanding the economy and the market, and how to invest. However, I'm not good at mathematics nor do I enjoy doing it, so I tend to stray away from math courses. What should I do? #finance #mathematics #math #economics #investing #investment #economy
