How did you move on after failing your first college course?
As the semester is ending. I will have officially failed my first college course related to my major. It seems like the end of the world to me but that's because I overreact most of the time. Failing has slowed my motivation to continue with college. I just want to know how anyone who has been in this position dealt with it. #college #engineering #engineer #stem #classes #college-student #failure

What are the major engineering job locations?
For those who are in the engineering work force, where do you all live? Do most engineers live in major cities, or more in the suburbs? I don't really want to live in a big city, but I am worried that that will hinder my choices at getting a job, at least a first job. Do any of you all live in the suburbs and commute to a major city to work, or vice versa? Specifically, I am looking into the space side of aerospace engineering, so if you have any answers specific to that field that would be great. #engineering #aerospace #first-job

I did not have a lot of experience outside of school and volunteering when I started at university, and my brothers are both looking as they could be in the same boat as I was. One wishes to be an engineer (and a swim coach), the other a game designer. Thank you! #high-school #experience #volunteering #engineering #game-design #sports #coaching #swimming
Is there a merit selecting an Applied Physics/ Engineering Physics major over a mechanical or aerospace engineering major career wise in the future? Which offers more critical problem-solving requirements for these jobs?
As a student primarily interested in math, physics, and engineering, I constantly wonder which major I should decide. I have loved the necessary logic and problem solving required in some of the math and physics courses I take in high school but always consider if engineering is the right major for me. Both majors in the question require similar skills and interests and I think knowing the distinction and what I will be getting into may help clarify many things. #engineering #mechanical-engineering #math #physics #aerospace-engineering #aerospace #applied-mathematics

What if the College of your dreams accepts you, but the college you know you should go to does not?
I have been accepted into the school of my dreams which happens to be the best school for engineering in the country. However, it costs significantly more than my second-choice school -almost three times more- However, my second-choice school, which is the one that my family can afford, did not accept me into the engineering major. While I can attempt to appeal the decision, I am not sure if there will be a point. Should I be excited that I got into my first choice school, and wory about the price later, or should I try to get into the college that my family can afford. #college #engineering #financial-services
