What is the daily life of an industrial engineer like?

I am considering the engineering field since I found my calculus and math courses to be interesting. I am not very fond of physics though and am stronger in other sciences (biology and chemistry). I was told about the job of an industrial engineer I would like to know what it is truly like when putting everything in action. It would also be helpful to know what the chances of being hired as an industrial engineer in Georgia is like as compared to a doctor (are there many job positions in this field?). #engineering #industrial-engineering

Do all Engineering fields require 4 or 5 years of college?

Some colleges we've visited have leaned more towards 5 years, suggesting first year is when you really are deciding on a Major or considering changing course. Has that been anyone's experience? #engineering

What are some career fields for electrical engineers?

I enjoy the electrical aspects of engineering such as circuitry and microelectronics. I enjoy home-automation, IOT, and robotics. However, I really do not want to end up being an electrician (not that there is anything that wrong with that; it's just not my thing). So, what are some other careers in the electrical-engineering field (other than research) and what are the best corresponding majors? #college #engineering #career #career-counseling #career-choice #electrical-engineering #electronics #automation

I was wondering if anybody in their respective careers could take the time in answering these questions as best as they can...

The reason I'm doing this is because I'm curious, I love learning about different people and their backgrounds and what their careers are like! 1.)Where do you work? (Provide a name of the company and a description) 2.) Number of years working in this career? 3.)What exactly is your career? What do you do? (Provide your position/title and a brief description of your responsibilities) 4.)What do you like most about your job? 5.)What do you like least about your job? 6.) How did you become interested in this career? 7.) What education and training are necessary for this job? 8.) What is most challenging about the job? 9.) What types of personality traits or skills are most helpful in this career? Why? 10.) What are some of the benefits and “perks” of this job? 11.) Approximately how many hours a week do you work? 12.) What is the approximate salary range for this job? 13.) Would you recommend this job? Why or why not? #computer-software #business #engineering #medicine #science #design #architecture #aerospace #financial-planning #career-details #personal-development

What job opportunities are available to nuclear engineers?

I'm interested in studying nuclear engineering because (with my limited knowledge) it seems to me to be a great alternative to fossil fuel and nonrenewable energy resources when handled safely, but I feel as though the job market for nuclear engineers is small and there's a very specific niche for those with degrees in nuclear engineering. I'd like to know the odds of finding a job in this field straight from college, and perhaps how difficult earning a degree is compared to other engineering disciplines such as mechanical or chemical? #engineering #nuclear-engineering
