Career questions tagged engineering
I was wondering if anybody in their respective careers could take the time in answering these questions as best as they can...
The reason I'm doing this is because I'm curious, I love learning about different people and their backgrounds and what their careers are like! 1.)Where do you work? (Provide a name of the company and a description) 2.) Number of years working in this career? 3.)What exactly is your career? What do you do? (Provide your position/title and a brief description of your responsibilities) 4.)What do you like most about your job? 5.)What do you like least about your job? 6.) How did you become interested in this career? 7.) What education and training are necessary for this job? 8.) What is most challenging about the job? 9.) What types of personality traits or skills are most helpful in this career? Why? 10.) What are some of the benefits and “perks” of this job? 11.) Approximately how many hours a week do you work? 12.) What is the approximate salary range for this job? 13.) Would you recommend this job? Why or why not? #computer-software #business #engineering #medicine #science #design #architecture #aerospace #financial-planning #career-details #personal-development

What job opportunities are available to nuclear engineers?
I'm interested in studying nuclear engineering because (with my limited knowledge) it seems to me to be a great alternative to fossil fuel and nonrenewable energy resources when handled safely, but I feel as though the job market for nuclear engineers is small and there's a very specific niche for those with degrees in nuclear engineering. I'd like to know the odds of finding a job in this field straight from college, and perhaps how difficult earning a degree is compared to other engineering disciplines such as mechanical or chemical? #engineering #nuclear-engineering

I take many classes, almost all that I can grab my hands on, in school. They include Biology and Physics because I am unsure of what I want to pursue in College, and eventually as a career. I enjoy math, but at the same time science. I want to know if I should choose one path and follow it, or if I should not go in a straight path and have many different dichotomies. #engineering #medicine #undecided
What is a good way to find out as to which engineering pathway I want to go into?
I am a high school student, and I tend to do well in math and science classes. I enjoy them as well, so I am considering going to college for an engineering degree, but there are so many types of engineering!
