What does teacher hiring look like for December graduates?

I am studying an undergraduate degree in Education, specializing in Middle School English, Language Arts & Reading with an ESL teacher certification. I will finish my degree on the Fall semester and would love to get a teaching job immediately after graduation. However, I know that there might be limited hiring opportunities at that time of the year. What advice would you give for someone in the same position as me? #teacher #teacher #english #teaching #education #GivingisCaring #ESL #school #graduation

What are the challenges of being an ESL teacher?

I am currently studying education and one of my certification tracks is ESL. I am highly interested in being an ESL teacher, especially because I am an international student and also had the experience of being an English Learner. However, my fear is my performance as a teacher in the future because, although I am proficient, English is not my first language. #ESL #Education #Teaching #Teachers #JULY #JULY20 #teacher #student

What is good advice to get prepared for Teacher Certification Exams?

I am currently studying an undergraduate degree on Middle School Education in Texas. Although I am about to start my second year of college, I will be graduating earlier than usual and would like to start getting prepared for the certification tests. I am kind of concerned since I am an international student from Mexico and I am not yet 100% familiarized with the American education system, and I think it would be key to perform better on the tests. #education #JULY20 #JULY #teachercertification #career #college #ESL #Texas

What path in highschool would I take to become an ESL teacher?

I always saw teaching English as a second language to be really interesting, I've wanted to do it for as long as I can remember. Going to south korea or Japan to teach English would be amazing, but I know I would be alright with doing it in Canada too. I don't know what courses I would have to take, or what kind of college or university to go into for this kind of this. How do I get started? #esl

If I were to major in English, what credentials would I need to teach English abroad? TESL?

I am a senior in highschool, thinking about going into education as my career. I would like to major in English, as well as music. I asked many teachers about teaching abroad, but is something like a TESL( Teaching english as a second language) certificate, necessary? Or is it something that is overlooked upon? What would seem to be more safe in approaching a credential teaching experience? I know people can teach English as long as they are fluent, but I feel like it cheats the learners if I am not capable of helping ESL students. I'm curious to learn about the opportunities provided for me abroad to get teaching experience. Thank you to whoever answers. #esl #academic-english
