I want to work in the BAU but I need some guidance

So, I've tried to look up tons of stuff about the different unit, descriptions of stuff they do, etc. I can't seem to find the answers to a lot of my questions though. Fair warning, there are a lot. So to start, which unit deals with the most cases? Which unit deals with the serial killers, unusual crimes, serial kidnappings? Do BAU agents deal/help with the apprehension of criminals? How often, on average, do the agents travel? Does having a major in psychology and a minor in criminal justice along with time in the air force give me a step up into getting into the BAU? What are somethings that the FBI in general looks at when hiring people? What would be the fastest way to get into the BAU? #criminal-justice #psychology #law #BAU #FBI #law-enforcement

What degree would be better forensic science, criminal justice or criminology?

I'm a student at community college looking to transfer soon and I'm undecided on which degree would be best if I wanna become a crime scene investigator and possibly FBI Agent in the future. Forensic studies at USF sound like a good match but St.Leo University has a Criminal Justice degree with a forensics concentration and I'm confused as to which degree would help me more overall. If anyone has experience with what degrees work better thank you. #law #forensic #college #forensics #criminology #criminal-justice #FBI #FBI-agent

Which government agency is best to go into for cyber-security?

I want to be in a cyber-security team for the US government serving in one of the intelligence branches (CIA, DoD, DIA, FBI, NSA, etc.) and I want to know which one would be best for me. If possible, I'd like to stay in a local area and not have to move to one location (I live in Arizona and want to know which one to be in if I want to stay here). Which one has the best jobs? Best pay? #cyber-security #fbi #cia #dod #government

What's it like being a part of a cyber-security team in a government agency?

I'm really thinking about majoring in Computer Science (Information Assurance) and going into a government agency like FBI, CIA, DIA, DoD, or any of the other like-minded branches. What's it like? How different is the public sector in this career from the private sector? Would you switch to private? #technology #cyber-security #fbi #cia #dia #dod

How do I know if I will enjoy becoming an FBI agent? Or if I'll be good at it or successful?

I love watching TV shows related to law enforcement, whether it's from the perspective of a criminal or law enforcer. I wanted to become an FBI Agent ever since my brother was murdered and for some reason it really interests me that they solve different kinds of cases all over the United States. I've been a part of an FBI program for high school students and they make us role play and pretend to actually be "agents" but I'm afraid that it'll be way too competitive out there in the field that I won't get in. What if I do get in and I don't enjoy it? What would my daily life look like if I was an FBI Agent? #FBI #law-enforcement #law #federal-agent #fbi-agent #success

I want to work at the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI but I have many questions.

Prepare yourself, I'm a talkative and curious kid. I'm interested in psychology, human behavior, criminology, criminal justice, and criminal profiling basically I want to get into the criminal's minds and make a profile about them and help the police catch them. But I already know that it's not as exciting as TV shows like Criminal Minds potray them to be, so don't worry. What's inside the BAU? How does it operate? Do you get to work on cases to catch a potential serial killer or stop a potentially dangerous person or it's just agents that are qualified enough? Is Quantico a heaven-like college or is it extremly difficult and not many get pass Quantico? How fit are you when you apply to Quantico? Do every agents go out and work on the field or do they to desk jobs? How many cases does the BAU have every year? Are they mostly extremely-distrubing cases? What qualifications do you have to have to apply to Quantico? Is it always exciting and dramatic or is it boring and normal to be in the BAU? Please answer my questions! Please do! #BAU #psychology #fbi #criminal-profiling #criminology #federal-agent #special-agent#law #career-details
