If im trying to get into a good college, does taking 3 years of language make a huge difference even though 2 is the minimum?
Right now, my schedule for next year consists of 2 math classes because that will leave open a spot for an AP class in junior year, instead of having to wait till senior year. However it kicks out a language class and an art class. If I take the 2 math classes I will only be able to have 2 years of a language, so I'm not sure if I should just take the 2 maths, or do something else, like only taking 1 math, or take an extremely hard and rigorous class over the summer (which I am not a fan of) to get 3 years. #general #math
Is being a short story writer a career path?
Being a first generation college student means that I'm going in blind in this. None of my family members ever finished school so if I go and ask them for help/advice they can't give any. School counselors are not much help so I'm turning to the internet. I've never really excelled in anything, I'm horrible at math, can barely keep up in science classes, my critical thinking skill don't seem to improve (even though I've passed the classes). The only thing I seem to be good at is creative writing, but do I need to major in English for that? I mean I'm taking these college level English courses and I suffer with these essays. I'm no good at writing essays about deconstructing a poem/book and be super analytical about it. I like having creative freedom and not having to worry about MLA format. #general #college #english

How to get a letter of recommendation when I'm a shy student?
I'm a decent student who occasionally contributes to the conversation and I get A's and B's in school, but I don't think I have developed a close relationship with any of my teachers. Speaking up in class is hard for me and it often feels like I'm being drowned out but other students. I'm currently a Junior who is doing remote learning so I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to help the process go smoother when it comes time for me to get a LOR. Thank you :) #student #general #everyone #introvert #letterofrec #networking
What is your favorite thing about your job?
I have lots of interests, and have been trying to narrow down what I want to do, but it's a daunting task to figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life at such a young age. Right now, all I want to know is what you all love most about your jobs! And the soul searching can start a little later. #general #community
How do you know if going into the Nursing field is good for you?
I'm interested in going into the Nursing field, specifically in the Labor and Delivery field. I'm Elizabeth and I'm in 11th grade. Some of the skills that are needed to be a Labor and Delivery Nurse (LD Nurse) is having empathy, critical thinking, decision-making and communication skills, which is good for me because I'm good in most of these areas and I like to help people. By others answering my question I will then review them and see their stories and recommendations to my question. The reason why I'm asking this question is I seen a lot of YouTube videos about what it's like going into this field, how they started out and how it's currently going for them and I just wanted to know how other people got interested in this field as well. #hospital #nursing #career #field #highschool # #general
What majors are in art and business category? How do you work financial aid and applications?
I'm in the 11th grade figuring out which major in art I should take. Their a few schools I'm interested in but still figuring that out between five choices. Peers around me always said go for what you like to do and business for getting more opportunities in life. I know that art won't give much wages in the future but that's the only thing I am interested in. Business can have more wages depends on what you're going for. Therefore I'm trying to figure out my plans before I graduate and something simple that I can push myself for due to my concussion. Then figure out how to keep financial aids straight and how to write "professional" for anything during college like programs, etc. #art #business #university #general #appliaction #finanical
