I feel like a total failure. How do I move on from here?
In high school, I got good grades. I graduated with a 3.5 GPA. I got into some great colleges like NYU tisch, Syracuse, Pitt, UConn, PSU, etc. I'm the oldest of 10 kids, and from a poor family. My dads a janitor, and my mom is a waitress. I needed $7k/year to go to pitt (After FAFSA). My parents were broke and had terrible credit scores, so I wasn't able to go to school. I was working a full time job at 18, and couldn't afford it either. This led me down a path of depression and addiction. I'm now sober, and on the right meds. I'm about to finish my 2nd year of community college, and my grades are bad. I have a 2.4 gpa. I blew it. I went to getting into the best film school in the world, with a 3.5 HS GPA, to being a broke addict waiting tables. While I'm in a better place mentally. I'm still upset, and feel like I failed. I went from NYU Tisch, to a 2.4 community college gpa. I still want to make movies, but I have no idea where to go from here. Anyome have any advice? #College #Life #General #Film

Is going into a animation career worth it?
I'm a 12th grader and I have been doing art for years, but i wasn't serious about it until I was in middle school. I want to become an animator, but I find it hard to lean the basics and find it confusing to use my program, Clip paint studio. I might not because an animator and just be a freelance artist, but I also want to be able to inspire other people and gain experience from working in an environment like that. I'm unsure if it's worth it to keep trying or if I should just stick to freelance. #art #arts #artist #general #the-arts #career-choice #animation

What should my dream career be?
Hello there! I'm a student and i'm a little all over the place when it comes to my dream career. I know what I'm good at- I just don't what job I could use most of my skills in. When watching TV shows, I end up wanting to be the job in that TV show. But- not all of them made me feel that way. So, I'm just gonna name the skills or jobs I may be good at- then somebody could reply with a good job that uses most of those skills. CEO (I guess I'm really good at being a boss or being in charge.) Writing, Investigating, Theatre, Talking (I'm good with the words because of my writing skills.) I'm better in a team, or with people I'm friends with. I don't want to be a police officer though- but FBI is a yes. Okay- so I'm really picky, but any advice? #college #general #jobs #career #first-job #job #law #FBI #job-search #job-search

Is there a way for me to add a minor on the common application?
I’ve managed to get established my psychology major and my interest in pre med, but I don’t know if I can add an art minor or if I should submit a portfolio for my minor. I’m applying to 11 schools and I’d just like to make it clear I intend to be involved at whatever school I attend. #college-minor #majors-and-minors #general #university
