How can I get better grades?
The question was worded very differently from what I am trying to ask.To clarify, even though I had tried very hard to get a good overall GPA for my second semester in college, I still seemed to get lower than a 3.0 GPA. So, I believe that even when I tried my best I still didn't get the grades I was hoping to get. Is there any way I can I guess you can say.. increase my intake on knowledge and understand the material that is needed to learn? #college #school #gpa #grades
College admission grades?
I want to have the best chance I can at getting into USC, but I also don't want to need a 4.0 GPA and be taking as many honors and AP classes as possible. I want to be able to do things outside of school and such. Do you think I would need a 4.0 GPa and tons of honors and AP classes to get in?
What are some solid extracurriculars for medical?
I am currently a sophomore in highschool and I am wondering what are some solid extracurriculars that revolve around medical? I am currently in the IB programme and trying to maintain high grades, but I don’t think my grades solely will be able to get me into a good university. Another question is would it be better to focus on my grades and try to get them to near perfect with simple extracurriculars? Or should I maintain the grades I have now and add unique extracurriculars?
How impactful do my high-school sophomore grades impact my chances of getting accepted?
I go to an academically challenging school, and after hitting the ground running freshman year, I hit the sophomore slump with less As than I'd like. I even got my first C. My grades in junior year are all As and A+s.

Should I quit my sport?
I'm currently in 9th grade and have been doing rhythmic gymnastic since around 4-5 grade. I've been wondering if I should quit since I practice 4 hours a day on school days and haven't been getting enough sleep or good grades. Currently I have all As except for 2 subjects which are Bs, but I think I can do better. I am also taking all the hardest classes available in my school for a freshman. I really love my team but I don't know if rhythmic is my sport since I'm now in level 8 and I'm not as flexible as I used to be, therefore I'm at a huge disadvantage. I have also been wanting to quit for several years now however never had the courage to. It's been part of who I am for such a long time, but I just don't think it's right for me anymore. I really love the sport but I don't think I'm good at it anymore, or will be again in the future. Since I'll only get less flexible. I believe my coach really does want the best for us but most practices are wasted because she's not in the mood to correct us. I also see no future for me in the sport, and I don't think it will be good for collage app since basically no collage has a rhythmic gymnasts team/ I have to decide whether or not I want to quit since we have to start signing up for competition in 2 weeks, and if I don't quit this year I'm not quiting next year since I want to be able to start sometime else and get better at it PLEASE HELP! (If I quit I will start trying new sports starting with gymnastic)

Does the college I go to matter?
I have kind of mediocre grades. (I wouldn't say they are too bad mostly a's and b's a couple c's here and there.) I want to be a teacher and am not sure which colleges will except me. I really want to be a teacher it has been my dream forever, but I don't know if it's achievable now because of my mediocre grades. Someone please tell me if my grades will still help me achieve my goals. Thank you.
Which sectors/companies in the business field ask for grades, which don't?
Im new to the village and I have been reading posts about companies like the Big 4 Firms. There is responses that when hiring, they value class grades specifically in accounting. I was wondering how much importance goes to grades, and if there is any changes in different companies or sectors. The reason I am asking is because I go to a great school Uc Berkeley, but unfortunately it is very difficult for me and my grades aren't top notch. I come from schools in low income areas that didn't prepare me well for tests. I was smart in my community but here I feel under-qualified competing against the best. Don't get me wrong I learned sooo much in my first year. I'm just worried my grades won't be good enough for a job in the future. Any proffesionals out there who have gotten good jobs with "low" GPA's? Is it true grades matter that much in Business?
Any advice for those students who are struggling with their academics, especially those who feel they aren't "smart"?

Can a student recover from failing a college class?
How many classes can a student fail before they are not able to succeed? Can a student recover from a few failed classes after retaking them and getting a better grade? What happens when you take a class that cannot be retaken because it is above 3000, but you need it to succeed? Can I still make a 3.5-4.0 GPA with failed classes that have been retaken? These are the questions I have as a student who went through failing a couple of classes because of being stressed my first semester and now trying to make up for it. I have never failed classes before until University and have been an almost straight A student all through HS and community college. Now I'm struggling. I need reassurance of whether I can make it through college and make the good grades and high GPA I want, but with full honesty. #college #grades #gpa #classes #failure #help #mental-health #recover #recovery #student #student-development #freshmen #sophomore #class #stress #stress-management #university
